Third Floor Common Room [evening]
Evey had found her room with little difficulty, and after tossing her bag towards one of the (thank heaven) two beds, she'd memorized where she'd be returning and wandered out to see what she might find.
And naturally, the there was the common room on her floor, with a television (granted, much older than she was accustomed to, but it would do.) And where there was a television, there was news, and ways to catch up with the fact that she was twenty years in the past.
As a result, Evey was curled up on the couch, quietly flipping through channels and trying to acquaint herself with a world that seemed somewhat different from her history lessons. Perhaps her memory was just a touch fuzzy.
[open! come watch TV yay!]

Tilting her head, she continued to smile. "You're funny, A.J. I'm glad I met you on my first day here."

How did someone explain that you didn't really like a guy because you thought he was pretty much a jerk and made you act like a complete idiot in front of cute girls to a cute girl without making said cute girl think you were a total dork?

Why was A.J. blushing? Oh my gosh, Amber soon found out from his explanation and her face turned a little red as well. "I'm not a lesbian, oh no, no, no... I'm not."
Crazy was not good. Amber's dealt with enough crazy in her life.
"Maybe I can take him an apple," she said, venturing on the desperate side.

She didn't need to think about The Art of Cool.
"What classes are you taking?"

But he doubted he'd really have to worry about it.
"Uhhhh, Inventoelectronics, or something like that, and Art History."
He beamed, particularly, at the last one.

And then, ducking his head slightly toward Amber, he added, "But, if you go see them, I think I'll have to insist that you show me your tap dancing. It's only fair."

Grinning brightly, Amber nodded enthusiastically. "Any time! I love it and will do it any chance I get."

He cleared his throat a little, arching an eyebrow at Amber. "Any chance, huh? Probably don't have the shoes with you, I know, but would you do it now?"

Amber kicked off her sneakers and stood up. "I don't have them with me but I can give you a hint of my routine." For some reason she was blushing, knowing she had a single audience memeber was a little different. "Here goes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZuRyGZdb_c&NR=1)
yes, you must fast forward to the very end!..." she said, smiling. Amber started with the tap, moving her feet quickly, then slowly, adding turns with arm effects while her ankles shifted with the tap tap tap of her feet. Which was muted of course, due to the fact that she wasn't wearing her dance shoes.no subject
