2nd Floor Common Room, early afternoon

Johnny Castle set up his record player. Amazing that it was just there. And playing the music softly, he sort of laid around, waiting for his first dance partner to show up. Sometimes he hated his job. He had great ideas, he just never got to push them.

Today however, he might get in a bit of his own kind of dancing. What? If no one was around to tell him otherwise, he'd damn well do as he pleased.

"The Court?" Fiona asked and pouted a little. "I've never heard of it, but then I'm not from here - just visiting. Must be an incredibly cool place. Oooh! Maybe that's where Donny and the band are playing tonight!"

"I think I heard something about a band," Kirsten said. "It's going to be totally rufus!"

"Rufus? No, the band's name is Lustra," Fiona said patiently. Cool, but maybe a little slow.

Kirsten rolled her eyes. "Duh, I knew that."

She didn't, but she wasn't going to admit that. "Rufus is Guy's new word that means something is cool."

"Rufus," Fiona said thoughtfully. "Hmmm... not a bad word. This Guy must be... incredible. Does he have a girlfriend?"

"No," Kirsten laughed. "Guy doesn't do relationships."

"A free spirit then." Fiona nodded. This could be very good. "I happen to be a bit of a free spirit myself. Being tied down to the wrong person is sooo boring."

"Tell me about it," Kirsten said.

"My boyfriend?" Fiona said with a frown. "I think he went off with the little nun whose room I woke up in. And that? Is totally unacceptable. So I intend to find a good looking guy, or guys, and make him pay."

"What a jerk!" Kirsten sympathized. "Well, there will no doubt be a ton of awesome guys at the party tonight."
