Third floor common room [morning]

After spending most of the night in a Jedi healing trance, Luke didn't look like he'd had a wall dropped on him the night before.

But he was very, very tired of his room. And he was hungry.

So over Artoo's protests, he was in the common room attempting to make breakfast.

Since he wasn't making cereal, it wasn't going very well.

Dawn wandered in a little bit later, and grinned when she spotted Luke. "Hey. Want a hand?"

Not that she'd be much of a help, but it should be entertaining. "Y'know, your dad stood me up yesterday."

Jaina had been planning on checking up on Luke, but she'd thought she'd find him in his room. The common room was encouraging. "Hey," she greeted him, taking a seat. "How are you doing?"

Luke nodded. "He got kidnapped," he said casually.

"Fine," Luke said. "The healing techniques really work. How are you?"

"Cool, what're we--what?"

"Okay. Didn't even need the healing techniques." Which was good because she wasn't great at them anyway. "And I keep wanting to call Jolee to check up but I think he'd just hang up."

Makoto was hungry. So, after making sure his girl-guise was perfect, he slipped into the common room.

"Morning," he said cheerfully, "what are you making?"

Luke gave her a sheepish look. "Kidnapped?" he repeated. "The Jedi had an adventure this week."

"Did you see the lightning he threw?" Luke said in an undertone. "Dad was pissed."

She tried to pin him down with a look. "All the Jedi? Are you okay? What happened, other than the kidnapping?"

Luke looked at the mess in the pan in front of him. "Eggs, I think," he said, frowning. "There's cereal too!"

"Some guy thought he had a destiny," Luke said, "and tried to strip the Force from us. It kind of doesn't work that way."

Jaina shrugged uncomfortably. "I mean, I guess without a weapon you have to use what you can," she said slowly. "But I've only ever known Dark Jedi to do that. And Jolee's... not."

"Do you have the heat up too high?" Makoto asked helpfully, "Miss Lulu says you've got to be careful with the temperature." Not, mind, that this really had the affect of Makoto turning the heat down.

Katara wandered into the Common Room after waterbending on the beach for a few hours. She eyed Luke with not a small measure of worry mixed with 'why are boys so dumb?'

"How are you feeling?" she asked, making her way over to him.

"I guess," Luke said just as slowly. "I thought Dad's head was going to pop off or something. Think we could learn how?"

"But you can't cook them if the heat's not on," Luke countered.

No one had explained the range wasn't "off" and "on" to him.

"Better," he assured her. "There's only one of you now, even if I turn my head quickly."

While Jaina had to admit she was a little curious, she shook her head. "Probably not a good idea," she said. "I really wouldn't want to need to hurt someone like that."

And she knew the problems her version of Luke had had with the dark side. She really wasn't about to encourage that in this one.

That made him blink. "There's more than one temperature setting," Makoto said, "not just off and on."

Katara snickered. "Glad to hear I'm not beside myself anymore."

Which didn't answer any of her questions, really. "You got taken, too?" She stomped over and went to kick him in the shin. "Destinies are dumb. Are you really okay? Do you want me to take you to the clinic?"

"Dude," Z said as she wandered into the common room, "Where have you been?"

"I was there yesterday," Luke assured her. "They didn't even hold me overnight. I did a Jedi thing and can't even tell I got a wall tossed at me yesterday. Breakfast?"

Luke looked disappointed. "True," he said. "I'm tired of being the one electrocuted."
