Flag Football Practice: Gym, Sunday Noon

It was Sunday. And Sunday meant flag football practice. John had been sort of busy on Saturday, forgetting that it was Daylight Savings and thus, was later than usual setting up the gym.

When the group arrived, they would find handouts and yoga mats laid out on the floor.

Stretching was very important!

Savannah gave him a soft smile. She thought it was sweet that he was protective of her.

"I usually go Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays... if I don't hvae other plans with a certain someone."

He smiled. "You'll have a tag-a-long from now on," he told her. "I wouldn't mind getting in some flying, some practice throws; I miss having something to torch."

"Electrical sparks, fireballs... if I dig deep into my energy, I could spell up some other stuff, too."

"Hard for me to torch a fireball, sweetheart," he grinned and chucked her under her cute little chin. "What about rocks?"

"Trust me, you won't hurt me," he said, taking her hands in his. "Besides, I've never really gotten to see you use your powers so much, see what you can do."

Savannah smiled at him, but her eyes were worried. "I'm a little afraid to use my current full powers... but I'd love for you to see some of what I'm capable of doing... if you want."

Johnny cocked his head. "Are you afraid of what you can do, or what you could do?"

"A little of both," she admitted. "I'm powerful and have the capability to become even more so as I get older and get a firmer control of the powers that I was opened and bonded to." She bit her lip. "And no, that isn't me bragging. It's why back in November when Leah attacked me and I thought she had killed Eve that I knew I could bring her back from the dead."

No matter the cost to me.

"No, no, I wouldn't think you were bragging, Savannah. You sound a lot like me. As I get older, just with each month, I find I am stronger, that my abilities have increased just ever so much. I need an outlet I think and going down to the beach with you would be perfect."
