Blissfully unaware there was anything at all odd about today, Romeo padded into the common room and found some cold cereal to eat while he watched a morning talk show.

They were making over erotic dancers, and Romeo decided the "on stage" looks were much better than the "daytime" looks. It was purely an aesthetic decision, of course -- at least the on stage looks didn't involve floral cardigans.

"I woke up in a smaller version of the pajamas I'd gone to bed in," Romeo answered, not adding how grateful he was later to realize he hadn't chosen to sleep naked. "Perhaps your smaller self knew how adorable she'd be in a hat, and insisted on it."

Rikku giggled. "More likely, my smaller self didn't have a lick of sense, either, and thought hats were okay to sleep in. Surprised I didn't have a tutu and wading boots."

She pulled the Hawaiian shirt on and checked herself in the mirror. "Holy crap, I look like a guy."

Like a normal one, who got up and got dressed this morning and was a guy, not just herself wrapped in a comforter.

Weeeeeeeeird.

Romeo sniggered. "You would have been adorable in a tutu too. And yes, you look like a guy. Did you sprout a beard while I was out here?"

"I mean, a real one," she said, opening the door and gesturing to herself vaguely. Oh, wait, she needed to grab her comforter. Good times. "Like whoa, holy crap, that's not me, that's some guy. Named, like, Dave. I look like a Dave."

"Hi Dave," Romeo answered, as he felt one sort of had to. "You are quite guyish. Ought we to drink beer and talk about girls?"
