Luke was not sulking about the fortune he'd heard earlier.

Really.

He was just in the common room eating an entire bag of chips and watching mindless television because he felt like it.

Yup.

The cookies were out of the counter and noticeably untouched. John had made cookies less appealing for the moment.

John wandered down to the third floor was habitual at this point, but he paused at the common room when he spied Luke instead of continuing down the hall. "Hey, Luke!"

"You're not a cookie any more," Luke said, smiling.

"No, but I hear I'm going to marry one if you believe the fortune teller in the park," John replied, taking a seat.

Luke made a face and passed the bag of chips over. "She said I'm going to be cleaning rancor pits," he whined whined. "She's full of it."

"Oh nice, I stopped listening after the Oreo came into the picture," he admitted, munching a chip thoughtfully. "Well, other than the part about the robot dog, that might be cool."

"A robot dog would be cool," Luke agreed. "I got a turtle who hates me, and I already have a turtle who hates me."

"You have a turtle?" John asked. "What's his name?"

"Yoda," Luke said, grinning. "He was my father's."

"So maybe he's the same one from your fortune," John pointed out. "Don't turtles live forever?"

Billy was feeling aimless today so he wandered into the common room in hopes of people to hang out with.

"Luke, hey man how's it going?" He grabbed a few cookies from the counter.

"Check to make sure those aren't classmates," Luke said.

Billy had a cookie halfway to his mouth when Luke said that. He froze, and stared at the cookie. "Fandom went there?"

"Turned my niece's boyfriend into a chocolate cookie," Luke said, nodding.

"Oh, wow. That's...weird even for this place and, seems like it'd be more dangerous to boot. None of you are students right?" he asked the cookies.

Coming back from the park, Jaina was going to just go back to her room, but hey, she had limited time with Luke left. "Hey," she greeted him.

"Hey," he said, still sulking a little. "Did you meet that crackpot in the park?"

"You mean the mysterious fortuneteller that just randomly showed up? Yeah," she said. "Didn't hear anything good, huh?"

"I'm apparently going to take a break from my exciting rancor pit cleaning career to marry your master," Luke said, rolling his eyes. "That'll happen."

Guess which part she was going to ignore. "Rancor pit cleaning, huh?" she repeated, trying not to giggle.

"Yeah," Luke said. "Guess the Jedi thing doesn't work out so well. What'd she tell you?"

She hadn't planned on mentioning the big thing, but hey, if it wasn't already obvious the woman didn't have any idea what she was talking about... "Apparently I'm running an Empire from Fandom. Or I'm Empress of Fandom. She wasn't too clear."

Luke burst out laughing. "If you start building a giant weapon, then I'll get nervous," he teased.

"With six kids. I wonder how I have the time for them with all the reigning I'm doing," she added.
