Ursa Major Campfire: Sunday Evening [5-10-08]

C1. That was easy enough to remember.

It had taken her two trips to move her things down to the cabins, largely because she couldn't narrow down what books she wanted to bring any further, and of course she was sure she'd soon discover things she'd forgotten. But for now she was enjoying her favorite part of living in the cabins.

The campfire.

She just wished she'd remembered to get some marshmallows.

"Yeah," Z said, "I try to avoid burning my mouth and fingers whenever possible. But we could still eat the chocolate, even if no one shows up with graham crackers," she suggested hopefully.

"Oh, I'm all in favor of eating the chocolate!" Lana said quickly. "It's still quite good at room temperature."

"This is very true!" Z sighed. "Not quite the same, though, is it?"

"No," Lana said with a sigh of her own. "But it's still better than no chocolate at all."

Z shrugged and held out a bar of chocolate to Lana. "We can't be having no chocolate at all."

"Thanks," Lana said as she took the bar. "Tomorrow I'm going to get more chocolate, marshmallows, and graham crackers. That way we'll have everything we need tomorrow night!"

"Maybe we should set up some kind of schedule," Z mused, "so we'll always have s'mores fixings and no one has to do too much of the buying."

"Sounds like a plan," Lana said. "Mondays or Tuesdays are good for me."
