As it turned out, Jen didn't handle hangovers very well, which had something to do with the way she'd managed to completely miss out on any and all pony-related activities yesterday.

She could have been a pony for all she knew, but she'd been asleep through all of it thanks to the wonders of Aleve; apparently 21st-century painkillers had quite the effect on a 31st-century physiology unused to them. So yay for that, she supposed.

She'd managed to get a fire going -- a small and kind of ragged one, definitely not the kind of fire-building that would win a merit badge, but it was erratically crackling away as Jen went through some martial arts forms nearby. Sure, there was a gym on the campgrounds, but being around all these trees made her kind of nostalgic for the days when the best she'd had was that rope-wrapped tree in that Silver Hills park.

Besides, this was where she'd laid out the s'more makings. Duh.

"I think it was a cross between being amused and annoyed at the same time," he said looking thoughtful. "No nudity though."

"That's probably where you went wrong," Jeff opined, trying to picture it all, "You don't want to get nudity on the wrong person."

"Well it wasn't from lack of trying," Jamie replied. "I did invite her to participate on shirtless and pantless day. She just didn't go for it."

"Sometimes women don't appreciate it when you're that blunt," Jeff said, with a little sigh, "You have to pretend you can say hello to the face."

"That's the thing," Jamie said. "She's... really blunt. Hence my confusion. She totally throws me off my game."

"Like with the smacking thing?" Jeff asked, curiously.

"Right," Jamie said. "It's like... I don't know. It's completely different."

"I date a shin kicker, myself," Jeff said, wisely, like Jamie didn't know that, "You have to be careful where you place your limbs."

"I'm pretty sure Temari would have no problem cutting my limbs off," Jamie said with a nod. "So I can relate."

"You have to be careful," he continued, "You need those limbs to do things. Just make sure to stay away when she's emotional 'cos they're allowed to hit you."
