Scorpius Campfire, Sunday Evening

As it turned out, Jen didn't handle hangovers very well, which had something to do with the way she'd managed to completely miss out on any and all pony-related activities yesterday.

She could have been a pony for all she knew, but she'd been asleep through all of it thanks to the wonders of Aleve; apparently 21st-century painkillers had quite the effect on a 31st-century physiology unused to them. So yay for that, she supposed.

She'd managed to get a fire going -- a small and kind of ragged one, definitely not the kind of fire-building that would win a merit badge, but it was erratically crackling away as Jen went through some martial arts forms nearby. Sure, there was a gym on the campgrounds, but being around all these trees made her kind of nostalgic for the days when the best she'd had was that rope-wrapped tree in that Silver Hills park.

Besides, this was where she'd laid out the s'more makings. Duh.

[OOC: Open campfire is open!]

Talking about the pony-ness, Chad decided, was better than talking about how he'd been. There were a lot of good things, of course, but then there was the one bad thing that he really didn't like talking about.

"Yeah; I had a sparkly arm." Yes. Arm. "Were you one, too?"

"I was. I had wings. But more importantly, I could talk."

He breathed out.

"I had wondered why people always turned into animals instead of Animals, so this was a nice change."

"I turned into tea one," Chad said.

Because Chad was awesome at conversations, really.

"Teddy told me," he said with a nod.

"...were you cognizant?"

"I think so," Chad said after trying to recall. "I remember being mostly just warm and modestly caffeinated. It was...definitely a different experience."

"Modestly caffeinated?"

He wasn't questioning the status. Just how that might feel.

"Yeah, you know," Chad explained, "because tea doesn't have as much caffeine as coffee, so you don't get nearly as jittery if you drink too much of it."

[identity profile] new-to-liirness.livejournal.com 2008-05-19 08:50 pm (UTC)(link)
"But how do you feel modestly caffinated? ...how does that sensation work?"

[identity profile] senor-chado.livejournal.com 2008-05-19 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
"I...don't know," Chad admitted, shrugging a bit. "I just...was."

"Okay."

And that seemed about that.
