Andromeda campfire, Saturday afternoon

Yesterday had left Jaina with more serious thoughts than she wanted to have, so she spent her morning trying out different scenarios in the flight shed. She would have been mentally thanking Anakin for the key but she was still a little upset over that boyfriend-threatening thing, so there went that.

When she got back, she decided since it wasn't really raining rain, there was no harm in starting a campfire. Besides, the candy rain meant s'mores might be more interesting, so she brought graham crackers out from the cabin, too. Even a year later, the Turtles had made their impression.

"Yeah, we'll see how often that happens from now on." She'd totally cave to it.

"I always have a back-up plan," he promised. "No matter what your response."

"You do?" she asked.

"And I probably shouldn't have shared that," he said. "You heard nothing."

"Yes, I did. And I want to hear the backup plan," she said. She knew he was probably baiting her, but still.

He chuckled and scooted closer so that he could lower his voice appropriately. "The backup plan was to kiss you really well."

Trying not to smile, she said, "You may get away with a lot less on the first try now."

"Just so you can see my more creative solutions?" he offered.

"As cute as your pouting can be, yes," she said.

"Too bad you were so easy before," he teased. "Who knows how long you'll have to wait for another opportunity."

"I might have to get needlessly difficult," she warned.

"I shouldn't like the sound of that," he replied. "You're a bad influence."

"Hey, I can't help it if you're a bit of a masochist at heart," Jaina teased.

"That would explain it," he said, shaking his head. "But I swear I wasn't before."

"So you're saying I did that to you?"

"You just bring it out in new and interesting ways."

"Hm. Interesting." She had no idea what that even meant.
