Second floor common room, late Sunday night

The genet dashed into the common room, Gladys following, and leapt onto the couch, the TV, then bounced back. "You Have Too Much Energy," she told it, holding out a hand. It leapt into it and started sharpening its claws and trilling.

That meant it was hungry (Gladys had not let it eat any of the tiny monkeys) so she started opening cupboards, looking for something to feed it. The genet immediately ran inside and started kicking things out. "That Is Not Helpful."

It ignored her, pounced on a cereal box, dragged it to the middle of the room, and started disembowelling it. "Your Manners Need Some Work."

[ooc: Beware of chaotic genet.]

"What sorts of words?" Alice asked, eyes lighting up. "Many words have power to them, I think. You can wield them or wave them or slap someone across the face with them. And others sound clinical and flat and have never offended anybody in their life, if they can help it. Does every Golem have the same words? Are they a secret?"

Gladys might regret telling Alice that she could ask questions.

"Your receipt?" Alice was rocking slightly on her heels and back to her toes again. She said she always fidgeted. "Why has no one used that language in a thousand years? Do you know what the words say? And what is your receipt for?"

"That's horrible," Alice frowned. "If you are yourself, then they've no right to use you as a tool, regardless of whether they made you to be one or not. You shouldn't have to buy yourself from anyone. I mean, it's admirable that you're buying the other golems, but you shouldn't have to."

"Owning a person is more wrong," Alice said sadly. "Isn't it? If you can stand here and tell me that you wish to be free, I've no right to enslave you to do my bidding just because I created you."
