Third floor common room, Friday evening

Jan hadn't been in a common room since the incident with the amorous skunk, but found he wanted the company of humans. Given his recent encounter with the only other one of his kind he'd seen since he arrived, right now, he preferred humans.

There was no one in the common room, but the box with the pictures and the sound was turned on, so he lay down on the floor next to the couch to watch it. He perked up a little when he realised it was showing a story about horses.

[ooc: open, of course - it's a common room.

...one of these days we need to have an uncommon room. /random]

"All boys suck," Ino declared as she wandered into the common room, and looking for people who didn't suck. "Except for you, Jan. You're pretty awesome, really."

"Because they're all stupid," she told him, wandering over to him and sitting on the floor beside him. "All of them, seriously."

She went to try and run the fingers of her other hand through his mane. "Stupider than usual lately," Ino said. "I'm just frustrated with them, that's all."
intraspective: (either way thoughtful)

"Yeah?" Ino asked, shifting so she could better face his mane and concentrate on it more. "What's bothering you, little brother?"

"All boys?" Molly asked, once she was settled carefully on the couch. "Or just that Michael guy?"

"All boys," Ino declared, eyeing her. "'Cept for Jan. And what happened to you?"

[identity profile] grasshopper-mol.livejournal.com 2008-09-20 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
"Jan's special." She smiled over at him, then turned back to Ino. "I, uh, got stabbed in the butt by a crazy unicorn. What have they all done?"

...

Ino contemplated adding girls to her list of everyone who was stupid. "You need that healed," she said, frowning. That was more important than her boy issues.

[identity profile] grasshopper-mol.livejournal.com 2008-09-20 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
"That's why I went to the clinic," Molly explained slowly.
intraspective: (hey!)

[personal profile] intraspective 2008-09-20 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
"You're still limping!" That wasn't healed.

Bored out of her mind after a day of reading and replacing the batteries in her portable CD player no less than three times, but not quite ready to go back outside, Molly limped her way into the common room, carrying a pillow.

She froze in place when she saw Jan.

[identity profile] grasshopper-mol.livejournal.com 2008-09-20 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
Molly didn't move. "Are you...you?"

[identity profile] grasshopper-mol.livejournal.com 2008-09-20 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
"Were you on the new island yesterday?" She asked, still not coming closer, but to her credit, she felt, not running in terror either.

Dor wandered into the common and gave everyone a wave. "Hi!" he said munching on blueberry pie. "How's everyone doing today?"

Dor may not exactly have any idea what's going on outside of the school grounds today.

[identity profile] talks2objects.livejournal.com 2008-09-20 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
"Pretty good actually," Dor said cheerfully. "Got a package from home. Want some pie?"

[identity profile] talks2objects.livejournal.com 2008-09-20 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
"Actually it was a tree," Dor replied as he pulled out a slice of pie and offered to Jan. "It's part of the garden behind the stables. Feel free to help yourself to them if you're down there. There's a great variety down there. The chocolate cherry tree is great as well."
