4th Floor Common Room [Tuesday, Afternoon]
Since she'd had a first period class today, Angela figured she was allowed a lazy afternoon lounging on a couch with microwave popcorn. She flicked past channels as she tried to pick and choose her viewing, still really impressed by the sheer range of things on these days.
Angela kept up her channel surfing, until she came across a music channel, and saw her father taking center stage at some classic rock revival.
... Apparently, there are things that really hadn't changed much.
[[ooc: Open! I'm arounduntil I get bored of hanging out on Campus, then there may be some SP... It always said Tuesday. *shifty eyes*]]

"What kind of music is that?" He asked looking curious.

She paused. "You're not from this time either?" she guessed. There was a sense of confusion there that was almost a trademark for someone not quite used to this yet.
no subject
Yes. Dor was still weirded out by that.
"It's called Xanth and has a lot of magic. Are you from around here as well? I'm Dor by the way."

Angela grinned. "I'm Angela," she told him. "And yeah, I'm from around here, just from a decade or so ago." She gestured over her shoulder in what was probably supposed to be an illustrative 'in the past' sort of way.

"And, I got here by taxi. It wasn't all Return from the Past at all, which was kinda sad."

"You should watch it," she added.

He paused a second before opening his mouth to ask another question
Luckily the couch anticipated it.
"A movie is like a television show," the couch explained. "Only longer and usually shown in a theater."
"Oh!" Dor exclaimed. "Like the curse fiends!"
"Whatever," the couch replied.

She hadn't even got the the part where she wondered about what the heck curse fiends were yet.

"She means me, dummy," the couch sighed.
"Don't mind the couch. I can make inanimate things talk," Dor explained.
"Well she should mind me!" the couch protested. "Everyone comes here to sit on me and talk and ignore the TV! I should get proper credit!"
"Well you are very comfortable," Dor said patting the couch.
"That's better," the couch grumbled.
no subject
"That's weird," she informed Dor.
... Well, it was!

She lowered her voice, like that would help, "Isn't that kinda annoying after a while?"
no subject
"Well I never!" the chair exclaimed. "Here we are providing comfort and pleasure and she calls us annoying."
"That's enough," Dor said sharply and the furniture fell silent. He turned back to Angela and gave her an apologetic look. "They do tend to get mouthy but when I tell them to shut up they usually stay quiet. Plus it's always helpful if I need to get information."
no subject
"Didn't mean to offend them," she said. "I guess... I'm just kind of not used to considering the furniture as being all, sentient."
Which of course sent her down the path of what exactly all her furniture thought. "... I'm now slightly creeped out," she informed him, not offering any more explanation than that.

"Oooh, concert?" Molly asked, flopping into a chair.

"Looks like," she said. "I only just switched over."

"More my Dad's thing than mine," Angela explained. Well, it was true. Vague, but true. "I sort of absorb it all that way."
