After Classes, The Gym -- Cheerleading Practice

Ella was nervous as she arrived at the gym and started rolling out the mats and setting things out for practice. It was her first time setting up, and she wanted everything to be just so, especially with plans for an exhibition that weekend.

She added a plate of orange slices to the snack table, then started stretching out as she waited for the rest of the squad.

"Good," he said and winked. "I wouldn't want to have to kidnap you to a secret hideaway and keep you there for all of eternity to keep my secret safe."

"Is this secret hideaway on a tropical island?" Angela asked, moving her legs to relax her muscles again. "Because I could definitely live with that. Big fan of the sun, sea and sand."

"...it is now," he decided. "Totally tropical. The whole nine yards. The perfect place to kidnap you too."

"You're not making it much of a deterrent to me telling people," Angela pointed out with a smirk.

"Maybe I want you to tell people so I can whisk you away," he said.

Angela laughed, shaking her head. "You know, you have an interesting definition of the word 'secret' when it comes to this identity of yours," she said.

"Maybe I wanted to share it with you so you'd tell and I could sweep you away," he said. "All part of my master plan!"

"See, always a master plan!" Angela said triumphantly. What? She'll claim her wins when she can get them.

"A superhero can't always be spontaneous," he decided. "That'd just get messy!"

"Oh, I don't know," Angela said thoughtfully. "I do like a little bit of chaos in my life."

"Even if the chaos is bad?" Hannibal asked.

"Okay, maybe not the bad kind," Angela allowed. "But at least the interesting kind?"

"I can do the interesting kind," he said and smiled. "Bad's not in my nature though. It's all good, interesting or really goddamn awesome with me."

"Just the way I like it," Angela confirmed, grinning at him before she leaned down to touch her toes again.

"I'm gonna remember that," he said before returning her grin and going back to his lackluster attempts at stretching.
