Cheerleading Exhibition; The Gym; Saturday Afternoon [ 10/25 ]

It was time for the cheerleaders to go about and do their thing in showing all the family and friends of the student body their school spirit! The gym, of course, was decorated in blue and gold, with a giant, sparkly "GO GREMLINS" banner, and there was up-tempo, bass-thumping music spilling out of the speakers as the cheerleaders got read and the audience filed in.

Mandy smiled politely from next to Ella, giving each man a very thorough look. "Pleasure to meet you." The validity of that statement would have to wait.

"The pleasure's all ours," Dick said. "Ella's told me so much about you."

Bruce also gave a greeting ~~but the mun doesn't want to just say "Hi" while pinging off himself~~.

"All good things," Ella assured Mandy rapidly.

"Absolutely," Dick confirmed.

"Oh?" Mandy gave Ella a side-ways look, but she was still smiling. "She has mentioned you a few times as well. I was looking forward to a personal meeting."

Ella tried to look innocent, though her cheeks went pink. "It seems that day has arrived," she offered. "Mandy, Dick's in my ethics class, remember, I mentioned Master Skywalker?"

Mandy nodded. "I do need to make sure to meet him as well." She turned to Dick. "How did you like that class?"

"I like it quite a bit," Dick said. "The teacher does a good job of coming up with really interesting topics. Every week, it makes you think."

Ella nodded in agreement. "He definitely has his own opinions and a temper, but it's not too hard to work around them. And he makes you put yourself in situations you'd never live through."

"He sounds like a very good instructor." Mandy commented. "What kind of situations?"

"Our midterm and the following class involved figuring out what to do if we had to rescue a politician who turned out to be evil from another evil old man who could beat us up," Dick said. "And that lead to a discussion of diligence, temperance, and forgiveness."

"And then there was the week where we were in the mansion of an evil crime lord who looked like a giant slug," Ella piped up. "That was to teach us about sloth."

"Interesting." Mandy commented. "Do you actually go to these places?"

"No, the school has an advanced virtual reality simulator thing. So we can do all of that completely safely," Dick said. "You have to check that out when you get a chance, Bruce. You'll get a kick out of it."

"If it's open tomorrow, I definitely will," Bruce said.

"You should too, Mandy," Ella suggested. "It's not magic, but it'll seem like it is."

Mandy nodded. "I'll definitely make a note to stop by then."

"Have you met any of our teachers yet, Mandy?" Dick asked.

"I have not, yet." Mandy replied. "But I'll be sure to try to talk to them tomorrow."
