Fifth Floor Common Room, Tuesday Evening

The fifth-floor common room had been transformed into a riot of color and sound by the two intrepid decorators. When you had Rikku and Dōjima doing the artistic design, and they were basing it off of Romeo's collection of loud shirts, it was bound to be, ah, creative.

There were balloons and streamers everywhere, and the party even had some piñatas full of candy for people to swing at. Simply because everyone (Rikku) liked candy, and Dōjima was a fan of party games that made other people look like idiots.

Ned had received the email about the party and, after some minimal debate, had decided socializing and the birthday of one of his friends won out over being a hermit. So, he was there, small present in hand.

Dōjima grinned and waved at the guy she kinda-recognized from her cooking class.

Ned waved back and even added a quiet, "Hey there. This is a nice party."

"Thanks!" she said, beaming. "I have a feeling I got enough food to feed the whole dorm for a week, but I don't think anyone will mind."

"I definitely won't," he laughed. "There's no such thing as too much food and it all smells really good too."

"Take-out," she deadpanned. "Deadpool's class is not informative enough for me to manage this sort of thing on my own."

"Yeah, his class is a little...odd," Ned said delicately. "Though, candy omelets are one of my new favorite things."

"It's candy omelets," Dōjima answered gleefully. "You'd have to be a total Grinch to hate those."

"Exactly!" Ned agreed with a grin. "And it's...got a few of the food groups in there. An argument could be made that it's healthy as well as good."

"Some candies have fruit-jelly centers and things," Dōjima agreed. "It's way healthier than pizza. If no one manages to crack open the pinatas, you should totally take one home with you tonight, for omelet-making supplies."

"You think that's liable to happen?" Ned wondered, glancing at the pinatas. "I can't see people giving up on candy that easily."
