Fifth Floor Common Room, Tuesday Evening

The fifth-floor common room had been transformed into a riot of color and sound by the two intrepid decorators. When you had Rikku and Dōjima doing the artistic design, and they were basing it off of Romeo's collection of loud shirts, it was bound to be, ah, creative.

There were balloons and streamers everywhere, and the party even had some piñatas full of candy for people to swing at. Simply because everyone (Rikku) liked candy, and Dōjima was a fan of party games that made other people look like idiots.

[OOC: Up way-early for SP/timezone goodness, and open to all!]

"Wouldn't miss it," he said. "Smoking's a hard one to give up, isn't it? You might end up eating lots and lots of junk food to compensate."

"What, to get over the oral fixation?" Romeo mused. "I might need to start buying Jolly Ranchers by the case."

"I knew someone that smoked once and he went through lollipops quicker than I've ever seen anyone go through candy before," Ned said. "Maybe it's easier when you're younger?"
withoutverona: (all stubbly and grrrr)

"I hope so," Romeo said. "Except I started when I was 12, so I fear it'll be a hard road. I suppose a candy addiction beats cancer."

He looked distinctly dubious about this last proposition.

"Well, I can always provide pies if you need something more than candy," Ned offered.

"I'm sure I'll take you up on that before the end of the week," Romeo said. "Though I'll try not to overindulge. I don't want to be the type that stops smoking and puts on sixty pounds."

Yes, Romeo was vain enough to openly worry about this.

"That'd be a lot of wait in one week," Ned agreed. "At least you'll be saving money too? Unless you make your cigarettes."

"I did at home," Romeo said. "Rolled, them, anyhow, not curing my own tobacco. But it's really no cheaper than the packs here on the island, and I got lazy."

"I tried to smoke once when I was a kid," he said, "and threw up."

"That will happen the first time," Romeo told him. "I just ... tried again."

And again.

"I'm a wimp," he said and laughed. "One spell like that was enough for me to throw the pack down the gutter. The kid who let me try one was kind of mad I did that."
