Fifth Floor Common Room, Tuesday Evening

The fifth-floor common room had been transformed into a riot of color and sound by the two intrepid decorators. When you had Rikku and Dōjima doing the artistic design, and they were basing it off of Romeo's collection of loud shirts, it was bound to be, ah, creative.

There were balloons and streamers everywhere, and the party even had some piñatas full of candy for people to swing at. Simply because everyone (Rikku) liked candy, and Dōjima was a fan of party games that made other people look like idiots.

"Sokka!" Dōjima hollered, bouncing over to him. "Ano, we have got to get out and practice our lockpicking skills! It's not as much fun doing it alone on a practice-lock, and Aly-sensei would be so disappointed in us if we get out of practice."

Sokka grinned. "Yes, INDEED. And who knows when you'll need something like that, right? It could come in handy someday."

"It could come in handy tomorrow!" she laughed. "What if I get tipsy tonight and lose my key? It would be rude to pound on the door and wake Jen, I should just let myself in using an alternate means of unlocking the door!"

"If you're drunk enough to lose the key, you're probably too drunk to pick the lock," Sokka pointed out.

"Pfffffft. I misplace my keys every few hours sober," she replied. "Besides, it's not like the dorm locks are the hardest things in the world."

"No," Sokka agreed, "But being drunk makes one clumsy. And prone to passing out in a puddle of your own drool." ...Or, maybe that was just him.

Dōjima drew herself up to her full height and regarded Sokka regally. "I?" she said, "do not drool."

"No, I'm pretty sure you do," Sokka told her. "I mean, isn't that the way it works? 'Boys rule, girls drool', right?"

"Girls rule, boys drool," she retorted, hands on her hips. "We're made of sugar and spice and everything nice!"
