3rd Floor Common Room - Sunday Evening

Chuck had managed to roll out of bed before it started to get dark outside. That was pretty good considering he was exhausted. It felt like he made out with the entire town or something yesterday. He shuffled down to the common room in his smoking jacket of brooding robe and was sprawled out on the couch, scotch in hand. The Food Network Thanksgiving specials were blaring on the TV. Mmm turkey.

Given the way she'd woken up this morning, Buffy'd kind of spent today in a bad mood. Which was why when she came to the common room, she spent a moment looking at the TV before deciding, "That's acceptable."

"I'm glad you approve," Chuck replied, even though he had no idea who this girl was. Whatever, she was cute. Making cute girls happy was in his job description.

"Hey Buffy," Hurley greeted. "How ya doin'?"

Chad couldn't help it; he did a total double-take when he noticed Buffy there, and then remembered that, no, it was a different one.

It took him a bit to get past the stage of doing that with Kaylee, too.

Toby lived on the third floor, so it was like, natural for him to gravitate toward that common room, clad in a scarf and pants.

He perched on the arm of a chair. "Dude, I love Rachel Ray! She is so funny!"

"You cannot be serious," Chuck said. God, the disrespect Toby was showing his scarf was enough to make Chuck bitchface. "Rachel Ray is an annoying hag."

That said, he'd totally tap that.

Buffy may have headtilted. "Nice ensemble," she said, for lack of a better icebreaker.

"She is waaaay too hyper," Claire said. "But it's sort of fun. In a really square way."

Penelope wanted a glass of milk to go with her Ho-Ho's, so she shuffled down the hall from her room and stepped into the common room, heading for the kitchen area.

"Oh, hello," she said to the guy in a robe. Unusual, but not uncommon she suspected.

"Hi," Chuck said, giving the girl a momentary glance. His expression didn't change when he looked at her. He had seen bad nose jobs before. It was a shame. She looked like a pretty girl.

The last time Buffy had seen Penelope, there'd been a scarf involved. Trying not to draw attention to the fact that she looked slightly different, Buffy greeted her with, "Long time, no see."

"Penelope!" Toby exclaimed, going to say hi to his friend. He wore a bright smile and a scarf to keep him warm. No shirt, that would take away from his glitter-lotioned chest.

Chad didn't usually see Penelope much outside of music club, so he made sure to lift a hand in greeting when he spotted her, in between feeding Prince Oscar Pedro little pieces of sushi.

"Hey roomie," Claire offered, holding up a packet of grated cheese. "Want a quesadilla?"

"Wow, you really know how to spend a Sunday in style," Angela remarked with a little laugh.

"What can I say? If it's good enough for Hef, it's good enough for me," Chuck said, sitting up so he could give Angela room to sit on the couch.

"Think of it as Thanksgiving prep, it seems cooler," Buffy greeted her.

Knowing he should be more sociable with his fellow cheerleaders, Chad gave Angela a wave.

Claire smiled a greeting at Angela. "it's been kind of a dull weekend," she offered.

Chad, with Prince Oscar Pedro perched on his shoulder because Chuck can't be the only one with a creepy pet, went down to the common room to see if there was anything interesting going on.

Turns out, there was just something on TV to only make him hungry. He watched from the doorway for about five seconds before grunting and, with a meow from the cat on his shoulder, redirected immediately toward the fridge before even thinking about sitting down.

Chuck gave Chad a mumbled "hi" in response before eying the cat for a couple seconds. God, that thing was creepy.

Hurley wandered into the common room. "Huh, what's goin' on?" he asked.

"Absolutely nothing," Chuck replied, not bothering to look at Hurley. He wasn't a girl, not shirtless (thank god) and without a creepy pet. There was no need to look at him.

Aravis frowned as she wandered in. "I've never understood the appeal of watching another person cook," she noted by way of greeting.

"I like watching people doing things I can't," Chuck said. Not being able to cook was one of the few weaknesses Chuck was willing to own up to.

Claire wandered in to make herself a quesadilla, but paused to stare that the TV. "I need mashed potatoes now," she announced. "Hi."

"Hi," Chuck said, giving her a smile. "I already check the kitchen. No mashed potatoes."

Well...no mashed potatoes that weren't already cooked.
