The Roof - Monday morning before classes - 11/24

After a week(end) of near-hermitness in his room, subsiding on tea, hot soup, and other such things as he could make in the confines of his room, Liir was in two very different states than he'd been in when he'd gone in:

He was well, of body if not of mind or soul, not that that was odd.

And he was thoroughly sick of his room.

The bedsheets had been stripped off and put in a pile with the laundry for him to do after classes, and the window had been opened to let in fresh light, but it hadn't been quite enough. That said, he wasn't quite sure he was exactly up for company yet, and so he left it to the whims of chance; people came up to the roof almost as often as they went to the common rooms, after all, the view was lovely, and the breeze was nice enough when one had a steaming hot cup of tea and was wrapped up tight in a thick Munchkinlanderwool cloak.

Robin looked like a weetiny green eskimo in his parka, a small mug of hot chocolate in his hands. He'd felt the need to drink hot cocoa on the roof this morning.

"Always nice to have company," he said quietly, not wanting to disturb the frog.

Robin nodded, taking a sip of his cocoa. "Good morning." he said happily. He was certain that Winter was created specifically for Christmas and cocoa.

"Good morning," he agreed as he sipped at his own tea.

"What brings you up here?"

"Oh, nothing much. I just felt a random urge to drink cocoa out on the roof. You?"

"Needed to get out of my room," he said with a faint smile.

"I've been a bit ill."

"Oooh," Robin winced. He hated being sick. "I'm sorry. I'm glad you're feeling better though."

"Thanks much," he said with a nod.

"It doesn't happen often, thankfully. I don't like cold, but after the changeover I'm usually all right."

"I'm not used to the cold myself. I'm from Florida."

"I don't know where that is," he admitted, "at least, not really. I think I've heard of it. Where is it from here?"

"It's fairly far to the south. It's pretty much warm year round."

"That sounds lovely. And a bit like Quadling Country."
