The Roof - Monday morning before classes - 11/24
After a week(end) of near-hermitness in his room, subsiding on tea, hot soup, and other such things as he could make in the confines of his room, Liir was in two very different states than he'd been in when he'd gone in:
He was well, of body if not of mind or soul, not that that was odd.
And he was thoroughly sick of his room.
The bedsheets had been stripped off and put in a pile with the laundry for him to do after classes, and the window had been opened to let in fresh light, but it hadn't been quite enough. That said, he wasn't quite sure he was exactly up for company yet, and so he left it to the whims of chance; people came up to the roof almost as often as they went to the common rooms, after all, the view was lovely, and the breeze was nice enough when one had a steaming hot cup of tea and was wrapped up tight in a thick Munchkinlanderwool cloak.

"Why are you?"
[was not ignoring, *shakes fist at LJ lack of notifs*]

[ooc: Ditto. *kicks it*]

"I've been locked in my room the last few days getting better. I needed it."

"It happens every year, but thank you for the concern."

Hinata smiled as she caught sight of Liir and set the suddenly squirming kitten down. Yei skittered across the roof to see him. Hihihihi!

"Good morning, Hinata," and while it was very obvious that he did mean the good morning, his focus was on the kitten.

As was obvious from the ridiculous amount of purring and wriggling going on at being scritched. Really.

"How are you? I can tell with her, but you're harder to read."
It was said lightly, as he was in a good mood.

"She is e-easy to read," Hinata conceded. "And I a-am glad not to be as transparent as s-she is." She stepped over and settled herself down near him. "I have b-been well enough, I suppose. Radio mentioned that you w-were ill?"

"I always get sick between Autumnsend and Winterseve," he admitted with a flash of a smile. "I guess I just don't adjust well. Better now, though, and I should be fine for the rest of the winter. Well used to the cold."

Yei, for her part, perked up at the movement and skittered over to investigate. Hihihi!
"She's t-terribly friendly," Hinata said quickly. "D-Don't be alarmed, please."

"I couldn't stand the room any longer," he admitted.
[sorry for that; lack of notifs makes me slow to notice these things]

[NP. It's the same with me.]

"Sweated out most of it, so I'll be doing laundry later today," he admitted with a brief, self-depreciating smile.
"I probably shouldn't be out in the cold, but as you can see, the cloak is warm, and the room was a bit stifling."
And now that, it seemed, his body was used to the cold, he didn't feel nearly so troubled by it.

"You shouldn't stay out here for long at any rate," she admonished lightly with no real conviction in her tone.
