3rd Floor CR, Monday Morning

The first weird thing was that Claire woke up early during her week off.

The second weird thing was that she didn't just want to hang out in her room all day. So she took her sketchbook and a set of pastels and went to the common room to curl up on a couch and draw ... she wasn't sure yet. It might just be her coffee mug. Maybe her coffee mug in spaaaaaaace.

The TV was on and tuned to some soap opera, but Claire wasn't paying enough attention to say what it was about.

[OOC: Open like a CR.]

"I dunno," Ned said after a quiet moment. "Maybe nothing. Maybe I'd just be...gone, you know. In the ground or however."

"It's okay," he said and shrugged. "It doesn't really bother me."

As long as he wasn't causing the deaths, he could talk about it.

"It won't bum me out. I've had weirder conversations. But, yeah, sorry too."

"It'll take a little more than a conversation about the afterlife and what it entails to make me a depressed mess," Ned said. "It's almost kind of interesting to hear other views."

"Memories like..." Ned tried to piece that together. "So, you don't think the actual person is the ghost but the memory of the person someone has?"

"Huh." Ned bit his lip, thoughtful. "You know, I've never considered it like that. I don't tend to dwell on memories because, well, most of mine are pretty depressing but that's still a new way of looking at things."

"Everyone apologizes when I mention that," Ned said. "It's not your fault. It's no one's fault so need to apologize. It'd just be one of those things that would be weird if your theory is right."
