Fourth Floor Common Room - Sunday Afternoon

Emmett had spent most of the night exploring the dorms and enjoying being able to walk around without the smell of humans being too overpowering. He was thinking about going into town but decided to pace himself when it came to exploring. If he saw everything too fast then he got bored and when he got bored he tended to make houses out of cardboard and play "General Sherman is burnin' everything" in the yard with Jasper (well, Emmett played. Jasper glared). He had the feeling burning the dorms down by accident would be frowned upon. So around 5 am he staked out a place in the common room and started to watch TV.

Now there was football on! Emmett had his ass on the couch, a football in his hand and was watching the Dolphins playing the Ravens. Then the Eagles were playing the Vikings at 4:30. God, he loved Sundays. He was tossing the football quickly between his two hands but making sure it was at a human's pace just in case anyone came in.

[Open, yes. I hope Miami wins...I think I jinxed them omg]

Drivey things were very important.

"Ohh. You lived away from big cities?"

"Most of the time, yeah," Emmett said with a nod. "My dad likes working in small hospitals. He likes knowing all of his patients personally."

For the few years they were in a spot, anyway.

"That's... very nice of him," Teddy replied. "Kinda like stuff you'd see on TV about small towns years ago."

Emmett chuckled. "Yeah, that's definitely what he tries for. We don't have the house with a white picket fence and a dog though."

The Cullens didn't like dogs.

Teddy snorted. "What about a cat?"

"Nope, no pets." They were too much like little snacks. "It's hard to keep pets when you're moving around all the time."

"You could always get one here," Teddy replied. "I have one back in my room. Probably trying to kill my blanket for having a sunbeam on it move."

"People keep pets here?" Emmett asked, his eyes darkening a little. "I...I wasn't aware you could do that."

"Well, of course! They're very laid back here about that sort of thing," Teddy said, oblivious to eye color changes.

"That's..." Problematic? Free delivery? "...cool. I'll have to look into that."

And he was going to have to up his meals to twice a week now. He didn't want to eat anybody's pets.

"We also have a stable if people have horses," Teddy informed him. Because he was helpful like that.

"I love horses," Emmett said. "I mean, I don't have one or anything. But they're fun to look at."

And chase. And eat.

This was going to be a problem.

"And they just opened a pet store on island so you don't have to got the mainland to get one anymore," Teddy said. Oh, he was just so happy to help someone out here.

Emmett might've been getting lightheaded. This was too good to be true.

"Dude. You are amazing," Emmett said after a moment. "Seriously. Amazing."

"It's just a pet shop," Teddy said, ducking his head a little.
