Emmett had spent most of the night exploring the dorms and enjoying being able to walk around without the smell of humans being too overpowering. He was thinking about going into town but decided to pace himself when it came to exploring. If he saw everything too fast then he got bored and when he got bored he tended to make houses out of cardboard and play "General Sherman is burnin' everything" in the yard with Jasper (well, Emmett played. Jasper glared). He had the feeling burning the dorms down by accident would be frowned upon. So around 5 am he staked out a place in the common room and started to watch TV.

Now there was football on! Emmett had his ass on the couch, a football in his hand and was watching the Dolphins playing the Ravens. Then the Eagles were playing the Vikings at 4:30. God, he loved Sundays. He was tossing the football quickly between his two hands but making sure it was at a human's pace just in case anyone came in.

Emmett may have eyed the cat for an uncomfortable amount of time before answering Teddy.

"Uh..." He stared for a couple seconds longer. "Yeah. I just...my team lost."

Galliano was just under the impression someone wanted to play. He was all for that! See how he wriggled on out of Teddy's arms to attack Emmett's ankle.

...he was a very 'special' cat.

"Right." Teddy gave him a look before following the cat over to pick up part of the table. "Try to be careful with this stuff. It sucks to explain what happened to it."

He had to do that with two beds so far.

Emmett sat up very, very straight and didn't pet the cat. If he pet it, that would lead to smelling it and if he smelled it, well...Teddy wouldn't have a cat anymore.

"You've broken stuff before?" Emmett asked, his voice going up a notch or two. He was trying not to inhale.

So Galliano continued to make that ankle his bitch. Oh yeah, he was gnawing that sucker into submission!

"On accident," Teddy said quickly, grabbing for the idiot creature to save from bloodshed.

Emmett, for his part, hardly felt a thing. He just hoped that cat didn't break a tooth and start to bleed. That would be too much for him.

"You must be a pretty strong dude," Emmett noted.

"Well..." He let Galliano try to gnaw on his own hand as a distraction. "It's kinda just part of the whole Fandom thingy. Some people come from places that's normal."

"I think I've come to the right place," Emmett mused. He would like not to have to hide his strength. That was always harder to hide than the whole drinking blood thing.

"You'd be surprised how well people with different abilities fit in here," Teddy said with a grin. "We get people with magic, mutants, time travelers, aliens, people who are actually animals..."

"See, I didn't realize half of that stuff actually existed," he said, looking amazed.

Chuckling, Teddy shook his head. "They all exist where I come from. That 'dude in the red pjs' is from there too."

"Must be an interesting place to live," Emmett said. No he was not pouting.

Okay, he was pouting. Forks was so boring.

"Sometimes," Teddy admitted. "Not when there's a lot of fighting, though."

"What's wrong with fighting?" he asked. "Fighting's fun!"

"Not this kind," Teddy insisted. "It's why I came here, actually."

"What kind of fighting is it?" Emmett asked. "There a war or something?"

Wars still sounded like fun.

"You could call it a war." Or something.
