Emmett had spent most of the night exploring the dorms and enjoying being able to walk around without the smell of humans being too overpowering. He was thinking about going into town but decided to pace himself when it came to exploring. If he saw everything too fast then he got bored and when he got bored he tended to make houses out of cardboard and play "General Sherman is burnin' everything" in the yard with Jasper (well, Emmett played. Jasper glared). He had the feeling burning the dorms down by accident would be frowned upon. So around 5 am he staked out a place in the common room and started to watch TV.

Now there was football on! Emmett had his ass on the couch, a football in his hand and was watching the Dolphins playing the Ravens. Then the Eagles were playing the Vikings at 4:30. God, he loved Sundays. He was tossing the football quickly between his two hands but making sure it was at a human's pace just in case anyone came in.

"I don't think the table is gonna make it," Emmett decided.

"No, it appears to be quite well broken," she said, looking down. "Did it collapse?"

"Uh...yes?" he said. It was kinda true. "It had a lot of weight put on it in a very short amount of time."

"What are you all doing in here?" she asked curiously. "Or, what were you doing? Dancing on the table, perhaps?"

Dancing on a table? Was this chick a stripper?

"There was no dancing on the table," Emmett said. "More like fisting."

Wait.

"I mean, that's not what I mean," he said, shaking his head. "We were watching football and my team lost and I hurt the table with my hand."

Éowyn was unsure of what football was, but she was afraid of looking unintelligent by admitting so. "Either you're very strong, or the table was very weak."

"I think it's a bit of both, actually," he replied, kicking at the broken pieces of the table. It looked pretty cheap to him. "But nobody was hurt."

"That is wonderful news indeed," Éowyn replied. "Do you think anyone will notice the table is missing?"

"Uh. I hope not," he said. "I'll totally replace it tomorrow."
