First Floor Rec Room, evening

Not in the mood to watch TV, Meg wandered down to rec room to try out the piano. Sadly she was not particularly talented and was mostly limited to using one finger to plink out some Christmas carols and TV theme songs.

"In that case, I'll play more." Meg carefully started to pick out the theme from that Boston show about the people in the bar. "I'm Meg. I think we had Ethics together last semester."

Firekeeper nodded. "Am remembering. I am called Blysse, and he is Blind Seer."

"It's nice to meet you. Both of you," she smiled. "It must be nice to have a friend here with you. I miss my cat."

"Is nice," she agreed. "But, you should be knowing. Blind Seer is not the same as a pet. He is my packmate, and only run with me because he choose to."

Meg had been at Fandom long enough that she wasn't too surprised by what that implied. "So he's a real friend then. Cool."

"Back home, among many humans such a thing would take much convincing to accept," Firekeeper noted. "I am liking that it is different here."

"There are too many people from too many different places. I think people have too be open-minded here," Meg, ever the politician's daughter said. "Otherwise it would be crazy."

"There is much truth in that," Firekeeper laughed.

"Occasionally I get things right," Meg grinned.

"Can I ask how you met Blind Seer? I'm thinking your world is pretty different then ours."

"Is very different," Firekeeper nodded. "We met as puppies, in our birth pack."

Very different. "Birth pack? I'm sorry," Meg apologized, "It's just I've never heard that before."

"Pack is family, for wolf," Firekeeper explained. And okay, she hadn't been born to the pack, but with them for as long as she could remember, so it totally counted.
