Cheerleading Practice, Gym [Wednesday, After Classes]

Angela was feeling so very much more cheerful today than the last time she did this, and was down early to set out the mats, sign in sheet, and put out bottles of water. Hydration is key, as always.

That done, she threw in a CD, upped the volume and settled down on the mats to warm up.

"Well, I don't really seek him out either," Hannibal said. "Look what happened the last time I opened my big mouth."

"Probably a wise move," Angela decided, nodding once. "How're the bruises feeling?"

"Eh, fine," he said and waved a hand. "It's more of an annoyance than anything and sometimes I get a headache. Should be good as new by this weekend."

"Just in time to make the most of it," she said with a grin. "Useful."

"I know, right?" He grinned. "Got big plans for the weekend?"

"Not yet," Angela replied. "Something I've got to work on."

"If I can find acceptable 'leave school grounds' clothes, I am going to go to the exhibit opening tonight."

"Oh, the artsy thing," Hannibal said. He'd heard something about it on the radio. "What are they showing?"

"Not actually sure," Angela admitted. "But as you said, it's an artsy thing, so I'm bound to get some enjoyment out of it."

"I'd probably get bored," he admitted, "unless it was like...dogs playing poker or something."

"When it comes to modern art, you actually never know," Angela said with a laugh. "That would be more normal than a lot of things I've seen."

"I could throw some paint on a canvas and call it art," Hannibal decided. "Make millions!"

"If Jackson Pollock can do it." Angela shrugged cheerfully. "But I thought you weren't into that artsy thing at all."

"I'm not but I do like money," he said and grinned. "And if I have to be an artist to accomplish that, I could live to like art stuff."

"You'd find it can be way more fun than you'd think," Angela promised him.

"I tried art when I was a kid," Hannibal said. "My clay pinch pot? It looked more like a flat plate."

"And here I thought you were good with your hands," she teased as she reached for her toes.

"Hey, I am," he said defensively. "Just not with clay."

"I'm sure we can work on that," Angela said, grinning at him. "It's what play doh was made for, after all."

"Yeah, I use to just throw that stuff at people," Hannibal admitted. "Made for a great projectile."

Angela laughed, nodding at that. "That part's fun too," she allowed.

"Thanks, I thought so," he said and grinned. "Get that stuff rolled into a little ball and it can really fly."

"Great for getting the attention of the girls you liked, huh?"

"And for throwing it at the heads of people I didn't like," he added.

Angela grinned. "I did more of the former," she said with a shrug.

"I did a little of both," he said. "Equal opportunity."
