One would think that after having sat through two marathon sessions of the first season with two different people, Cal would have been a little more lenient about his pretensions about watching Rumor Gal. Alas, the remote control still wound up 'lost' beneath the sofa and Cal found himself too 'burdened' by a bowl of popcorn to bother getting up, and the TV was staying on the CW, dammit.

Amber shuffled in and flopped on the couch. "Can I have some of that popcorn?" she asked Cal.

"Maybe if you say please," Cal said, pulling it just out of her reach.

Amber was too lazy to even roll her eyes. "Please?"

"Well, since you asked so nicely," Cal said, shifting the bowl back for her to reach, and giving her a faint grin.

She took a handful and popped pieces in her mouth. "You should have cooked like... chicken wings or something."

"It's not like I expected a crowd or anything."

"You could make chicken wings, too, you know."

"Pfft, I'm not cooking," she snorted, slouching. "This day has been made of lazy and I'm sticking to it."

"So, how'd last night turn out?"

Yes, he had to ask.

Amber turned her head towards the TV, and shrugged a little. "It was just another night."

Hurley gave Amber a little wave from where he sat. "Do you follow this show?"

She wiggled her hand back and forth. "Kind of. If you miss a show, it's okay, 'cause you totally know what's going on anyway."

"That's what Cal said. I guess I should just watch for the hot girls," Hurley said with a chuckle.

Amber laughed. "I'm sure that's what Cal does too."

"Nothing wrong with that," Hurley said. "It's what guys do."

"Yah, I know it," she said. "And this show does have some pretty hot guys on it too."

"See, something for, like, everyone," Hurley said. "What more do you need than pretty people being pretty and stuff?"

"Chicken wings," she replied instantly.

OH, this wasn't awkward at all. Claire gave Amber a little wave. "Hey."

Amber was cool as a cucumber. Totally. "Hey, Claire," she said. "How are you?"

Claire shrugged. "Not bad. My club met today. I have popcorn."

Which she held up to demonstrate.

"You?"

She arched a brow. "Popcorn's good. I had some too."

Not at all awkward, nope.

"Fine. Good. I've been lazy today."

"It's good weather for being lazy." Claire had no idea what she was saying. "All ... cold and everything."

"Great weather. No more laying around in just your panties." Um. "My vintage socks came back."

"There should be a fireplace in here or something."

Yeah, Amber had no idea what she was saying either.

"... you lay around in just your panties?" Claire blinked, a lot, because WOW that was more about Amber than she needed to know and she hoped Cal wasn't all into that because it so wasn't happening with her.

She gave a polite smile. "I mean, a fireplace would kick ass."

"It's all I had last week when the washing machines took our clothes," she explained. "Don't tell me you were immune to that particular Fandom insanity?"

Okay, so maybe Amber wasn't exactly modest and laid around in her undies more often than not. It was totally her room.
