It had taken a few moments to figure out the DVD player, but Merlin did as he was told and just pushed buttons until it worked. It was a surprisingly good method.

He sat back, ready to watch this porno thing that Emmett had said would be interesting.

And in the first five minutes, he couldn't quite understand the draw of this sort of entertainment. It was only like Morgana and Gwen in the fact that they looked vaguely similar. The way they talked and the room they were in certainly didn't look like any castle he'd ever seen. And, really, those dresses were just terribly impractical for a lady or a servant. They must be terribly cold--

Merlin's eyes went very big as the dress issue was solved and they ladies started kissing. The only sound he made was the verbal equivalent of a keysmash.

Adora had what amounted to a long day, and a trip to the common room for a snack seemed like a good idea, even with so many people there and the television making strange noises. "Hello, friends! What sort of thing are we watching?" Maybe she would learn something for TV class.

"Nothing!" Merlin insisted, pushing all the buttons he could to make it stop.

"Oh, but I was hoping to learn something! You know, I'm taking a class about television," Adora informed him, getting a good look at the screen.

"It's nothing!" Merlin insisted. He was going to crawl under the couch and never come out.

"That's a very...different sort of show. Have you seen such as this before?" Adora asked, blinking a little and wondering why the one girl was moaning. "Is she hurting her?"

Merlin peered back. "I don't... think so."

"Then it must be alright," Adora decided. "I've never seen a program so...realistic before."

"I just need to turn it off--" Merlin gave her a look like she was a bit touched. "--what?"

"The castle is so a familiar setting, and the clothing is so normal," said the girl who spent most of the day in a bustier and mini skirt. Something about the scene still seemed out of reach.

"What clothing?" Merlin asked very slowly.

Adora looked more closely. "Oh." Apparently the eyes filled in what they wished to see. "OH." She could look away and pretend nothing was happening, see? "So, how have you been, Merlin?"
