It had taken a few moments to figure out the DVD player, but Merlin did as he was told and just pushed buttons until it worked. It was a surprisingly good method.

He sat back, ready to watch this porno thing that Emmett had said would be interesting.

And in the first five minutes, he couldn't quite understand the draw of this sort of entertainment. It was only like Morgana and Gwen in the fact that they looked vaguely similar. The way they talked and the room they were in certainly didn't look like any castle he'd ever seen. And, really, those dresses were just terribly impractical for a lady or a servant. They must be terribly cold--

Merlin's eyes went very big as the dress issue was solved and they ladies started kissing. The only sound he made was the verbal equivalent of a keysmash.

"Yeah. That's the point," Chuck said. "Those women are well aware people are going to watch them."

"...they're whores?" He was trying here, really he was.

"Uh...kind of? They do get paid to do it and have the requisite daddy issues so..." Chuck nodded. "Yeah, they're whores. But, uh, the good kind of whores."

Chuck was lying about that. There's no such thing as a bad kind of whore.

Merlin's ears gave him a look of complete disbelief. "There's a difference?"

"Yes. You won't get thrown in jail for watching these kinds of whores," Chuck explained. He wasn't looking Merlin in the eye. Too distracted by the ears.

Merlin remained oblivious to the attention his ears garnered. "You're all utter nutters here."

And he tilted his head despite himself as one of the women did something odd with her tongue.

Chuck practically facepalmed. "That's the point. But you're not supposed to be watching it in public."

Unless you were into that sort of thing. Which Chuck was.

"I hadn't done it on purpose," Merlin shot back.

"You didn't put a porn into the dvd player on purpose?" Chuck asked.

"I was told it was a television show," Merlin said, like that should be painfully obvious here. Who in their right mind would do this in public?

"It is a television show. It's playing on the TV, isn't it?" Chuck said. "It's just a TV show most people watch alone."
