Third Floor Common Room, Wednesday Afternoon

It had taken a few moments to figure out the DVD player, but Merlin did as he was told and just pushed buttons until it worked. It was a surprisingly good method.

He sat back, ready to watch this porno thing that Emmett had said would be interesting.

And in the first five minutes, he couldn't quite understand the draw of this sort of entertainment. It was only like Morgana and Gwen in the fact that they looked vaguely similar. The way they talked and the room they were in certainly didn't look like any castle he'd ever seen. And, really, those dresses were just terribly impractical for a lady or a servant. They must be terribly cold--

Merlin's eyes went very big as the dress issue was solved and they ladies started kissing. The only sound he made was the verbal equivalent of a keysmash.

Anemone had run out of Sugar Bombs to snack on, hence her trip up to third floor to raid their common room.

"Is this one of the fiction or non-fiction shows?" she asked, tilting her head with interest as she she peered at the screen. Even after over a year of living with television, Anemone wasn't always the best at figuring out the difference. "Romances are usually fiction, right?"

"Why? Is it depressing? Or do you just not like the non-fictions?" she asked, sitting down on the floor near him to watch. "Sometimes they get a bit boring."

"Well, some of the non-fictions can get a bit preachy. Blah blah blah," Anemone replied, waving a hand as she watched the television with interest. "Those ones are the documentaries. Some of them are cool, but sometimes they'll put you to sleep."

"This... this is either an instructional video, or a romance." Anemone wrinkled her nose in confusion. "That cannot be comfortable."

"Well, of course she is enjoying it, but that other girl is going to get a cramp if she keeps that up," Anemone pointed out. "Maybe it's a parody?"

She held out her box of cereal and grinned. "Want some?"

"Anemone," she answered with a little wave. "And either you're new-ish, or I've been more anti-social than usual."

He still kinda had the deer-in-headlights look, although that could be from the sex on the television. Anemone had realized a very long time ago that humans were sometimes weird about that particular topic.

"Welcome to the madhouse!" she said cheerily, grabbing another handful of cereal. "We're all a bit strange here, but mostly harmless."

Okay, not really, but she was trying to be nice!

"I've been here a year, you get used to it, I promise." Another head-tilt, and then; "This is one of those porn-things, isn't it?"

"Accidental porn?" Anemone asked, blinking, before she burst out laughing. "That's awesome!"
