It had taken a few moments to figure out the DVD player, but Merlin did as he was told and just pushed buttons until it worked. It was a surprisingly good method.

He sat back, ready to watch this porno thing that Emmett had said would be interesting.

And in the first five minutes, he couldn't quite understand the draw of this sort of entertainment. It was only like Morgana and Gwen in the fact that they looked vaguely similar. The way they talked and the room they were in certainly didn't look like any castle he'd ever seen. And, really, those dresses were just terribly impractical for a lady or a servant. They must be terribly cold--

Merlin's eyes went very big as the dress issue was solved and they ladies started kissing. The only sound he made was the verbal equivalent of a keysmash.

"Totally not required!" Dinah said very quickly. "Just for fun. Sometimes. Or if, you know. There's no one else... around?"

She stared from Firekeeper to Blind Seer, and said, "It's not as weird as it sounds," rather weakly.

Firekeeper shook her head. "Wolves mate to make puppies," she said, by way of explanation.

"Not for anything else?" She looked from Blind Seer, to Firekeeper. "Ever? I mean, it's fun... or so I've heard...."

"In other seasons is much to keep a pack busy, leaving no time for mating," Firekeeper explained. "And if some did mate in the wrong season, any puppies they make would probably be dying, because they is not strong enough for surviving winter."

"Oh, that makes sense," Dinah said, taking a breath. "Yeah, uh. Not so much, with humans. We're a bit... we get distracted a lot."

"I have noticed this," Firekeeper snorted, rolling her eyes. "Derian is always kissing kitchen maids," and tumbling with them afterwards, though she knew enough about human attitudes on sex not to mention that part.

Dinah succumbed to giggles again and then choked a little. "Well, yes. Plus, we're teenagers. It's worse for us." She shrugged a little. "Sorry?"

"Is human way," Firekeeper shrugged. "Is strange, but you is not needing to be sorry for it."
