Roof - Saturday Morning

It was way too effing early to be awake. And yet, here Chuck was, awake. Life was unfair sometimes.

Maybe if he got stoned enough he'd be able to fall asleep again. And if he didn't, well, he'd still be high anyway. That was always nice.

He looked over the edge of the roof and lamented the fact that he didn't bring any Cheetos or Lucky Charms up here with him or something. Things were going to take a turn for the suck once the munchies came on.

[Open roof is open, yes. I would like some Lucky Charms plz. ETA: Temari's thread is last omg since he leaves with her]

"The only reason I haven't pushed you over the edge is because you're an idiot," Temari replied, walking over next to him to peer down at the ground.

Chuck looked down too. "I've pushed someone off this roof. Your boyfriend, I believe."

Nice, Chuck.

"There are about fifteen more of him running around," She pointed out. "Or did you fail to notice that?"

"I was a little too busy being dead and ghostly at the time," Chuck replied. "But I know that now, yes."

Temari snorted and sat down, feet over the edge of the building. "What is that?" It didn't smell like those cigarettes Shikamaru's teacher was so fond of.

Chuck smirked at her. "A little herbal remedy to start my day off right."

Better than a good breakfast, in his opinion.

Temari gave him a look that implied she wasn't believing that bullshit. "Your medicine smells odd."

"It smells great," Chuck argued, taking another hit and blowing the smoke out just so Temari could smell more of it. He offered the joint to her. "Try it."

Rolling her eyes, Temari took the blunt. There might have been a bit of wary eying before she did what he did and inhaled.

And coughed. A lot.

"Too much for you to handle?" Chuck said, snickering. "You shouldn't inhale so much on your first try. Rookie mistake."

"You could have warned me," Temari snapped, clearing her throat. But there was no way in hell she was letting bass be better than her at this. She tried again, much less inhaling this time.

Well if he warned her then he wouldn't have been able to laugh at her coughing. That wouldn't be any fun.

"That's better," he said approvingly. "Try to keep the smoke in as long as you can."

If he could teach a dumbass like Nate how to smoke weed properly, he could teach Temari.

Holding her breath in, Temari looked at him out of the corner of her eye. And then, finally, let out one slow, smokey exhale.

"It's not as bad as cigarettes," She said, her voice a bit more strained than normal.

"That's because cigarettes have all this fake added crap put into it," Chuck told her. "There's only one thing in this...well, two, if you count the paper I used to roll the joint."

Temari nodded easily, taking another slow drag before offering it back. "What is it?"

Chuck took the joint back from Temari and took another hit before answering her. "It's weed. You know, marijuana."

Temari gave him an utterly blank look. "Never heard of it."

"It's just a plant, that's all," Chuck told her. "When you smoke or ingest it it gets you high."

Way to mention it was illegal to use, Chuck.

She was feeling... calm. Relaxed. Like she had been meditating.

"High? Is that why you do this on the roof?" That thought was oddly funny to her.

"I was on the roof so I wouldn't set off any smoke alarms," he said, smirking at her. And also because he liked roofs for some weird reason. "This is a different definition of high. You'll know what I mean in a few minutes."

"You don't seem any different from normal," Temari said, holding out her hand for the joint.

"I have a higher tolerance than most people," Chuck said, handing her the joint with a pleased look on his face. He loved being a bad influence.

That was much easier this time around.

"Like building up one to poisons."

...so maybe Suna had odd 'vaccinations' for it's jounin.

"That'd be one way of putting it. I can still get high. Just takes me a little more time to do it than it used to," he said, sitting down on the ledge also.

If the red eyes and slow way he was talking were any indication, he had gone past high already and was on his way to being thoroughly stoned.

Then again, he had been up here for about a half hour before Temari showed up.

"Don't fall," Temari said, slumping a bit and taking another drag.
