Computer Lab, Monday Morning

After getting his assignment from class, Hannibal made his way back to the computer lab and took a seat. He figured going through the internet would be quicker than going through books in the library.

And really, the internet would have all the salacious rumors about his particular topic. He didn't know if Professor Whitaker particularly wanted an assignment filled with gossip but Hannibal knew it made for a more entertaining paper.

So, he took a seat at one of the computers and started doing his research. Jose Canseco was such a poser.

"That's why I offered," he said and winked.

"It might involve swords just as a warning." Her easy tone might clue him in on her joke.

"Ow!" Hannibal quipped, rubbing his head. "That might be tricky."

Adora snickered, ducking her head, "You should stop by sometime and I'll show you how tricky it's not."

Huh, was that dirty? She hoped not.

"Why, Adora, I would be happy to stop by sometime," he said cheerfully.

"Wonderful!" Adora smiled. "Now, do you think you could be a gentleman and turn this view screen into paper for me? I fear I nearly destroyed the machine last week in the attempt at making copies."

"Sure," Hannibal said, sliding over. "What do you wanna print?"

"Um, information on my hockey player here," she touched the screen where dumb luck had assisted her in finding his name on Google.

"Oooh, big time hockey player," Hannibal said after skimming the page. "All you do, when you find something, is go up here to file and find print. It'll print it out for you."

"You make that look so simple," Adora breathed, watching intently. "Just point and click."

"It's simple," he promised. "Just gotta get the hang of it is all. Most things on a computer are easy."

She collected her pages off the printer. "You really make this class much more educational for me, Hannibal. I can't thank you enough."

"Glad to help," he said, leaning back in his chair. "Television's actually something I know so I like to help when I can."

"Next semester I hope there's a course on living in a world without complex machines so I can be of as much help." She didn't really hope that, it wouldn't be very interesting at all.

"You could always take me camping sometime," he offered. "That's roughing it."

"It is! That would be a great way to pay you back," she enthused. "If you wanted, of course. When it's slightly warmer out. Sometimes it's difficult to sleep outdoors in the cold."

"Warmer, yes, definitely," he said. "I don't mind the cold but that's when I can go inside and warm up."

"Exactly. We camp outside every night when it's warm out. Just a fire and well, people."

"No tent?" Hannibal asked.

"We have tents erected," she explained. "But the air is so lovely back home we prefer sleeping in front of the fire. It makes sense, really."

"I'm sure it does," he said, nodding. "I think I prefer a bed but if it's nice outside, I can do outside as long as there's no mosquitoes."

"Mosquitoes," she repeated. "We don't have those. Perhaps I'll make sure there's a tent when we go camping."

"They're bugs," he explained. "They bite you and give you mosquito bites which itch."

"Definitely something to avoid. Are there many of them in Fandom?"

"I haven't actually been camping so I don't know but there's a forest so I gotta assume they're around," he said.
