Computer Lab, Monday Morning

After getting his assignment from class, Hannibal made his way back to the computer lab and took a seat. He figured going through the internet would be quicker than going through books in the library.

And really, the internet would have all the salacious rumors about his particular topic. He didn't know if Professor Whitaker particularly wanted an assignment filled with gossip but Hannibal knew it made for a more entertaining paper.

So, he took a seat at one of the computers and started doing his research. Jose Canseco was such a poser.

[Open, of course! Posted for the TV class but totes open for anyone who wants to chat! Hannibal won't be there long, though.]

Armed with her own assignment (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/2012052.html?thread=128151188#t128151188), Turtle also set off for the computer lab, knowing full well it was the Face-Spitter's library day.

Of course, information found on the internet wasn't the most reliable, so she intended to just be there for a bit, to get some of the basics and a starter point so, when she cross-checked her references, she would have to deal with the Face-Spitter as little as possible.

She did give Hannibal a wave, though, before setting to work. Which would be considerable, since she didn't know who the heck Kim Zmeskal was.

But she did have a cool name.

When Hannibal realized someone else was in the room, he looked up and gave Turtle a wave with a stack of trees he'd killed. This Jose Canseco was such tabloid fodder.

Also, he was ugly and greasy.

Adora entered the lab with a deer-in-the-headlights sort of look, unsure what she was doing or where to begin, but this seemed to be the place for the type of research she needed.

"Hello friends," she greeted the others, taking a wary seat at a computer and mimicking what they were doing with the little buttons.

"Adora, hi!" Hannibal greeted, smiling. "Here to do the assignment?"

"I'm certainly going to do my best," she grinned back, taking note of how the little buttons had letters that displayed on a little box on the screen when she poked at them. Excellent. "How have you been, Hannibal?"

"Not bad," he said, leaning back in his chair. "Good party yesterday, huh?"

"It was fun to get to participate in the Super Bowl rituals," Adora agreed. "You enjoyed watching, I presume?" She didn't think any of the boys hadn't enjoyed, besides knowing Hannibal had been one of the boys staring at She-Ra.

"Yeah, that was fun," he said shamelessly. "Very hot."

Adora laughed, trying not to blush too much. "Yes, quite. Though, I admit, I was surprised no gentlemen were taking part, given the number of female participants."

"Well, it was a girlkissy party," he explained. "We weren't allowed to play. Brooke might have smacked us."

"Well that explains it," Adora smiled, poking more at the computer and thinking how nice it would be if sheer will could make it cough up the information already. "What sport earns the flip event?"

"Uh, I dunno," he said, frowning. "What name do you have?"

"I'd be interested to find out," Adora decided. "And I have...Mister unpronounceable," she held up the paper with Jaromir Jagr written across it.

Hannibal squinted at the name and said, "...maybe he's a ballet dancer?"

"Maybe, who'd you end up with?" As if she would know them.

"A douche named Jose Canseco," he said. "He played baseball."

"Douche?" Adora repeated. "Is that a good or a bad thing?"

"Oh, bad," he said, wincing. "It's sort of a bad name for someone. Like namecalling."

Adora raised an eyebrow at him, "So you know this man well enough to call him names?"

"Well, I don't know him personally but reading all this stuff?" Hannibal waved the papers at him. "Douche."

"I wonder why Ms. Whitaker would want you to research a douche," Adora said, trusting Hannibal's assessment. "She gives us the strangest activities."

"She's a little scattered," he agreed. "But at least we don't sit in class all day, right?"

"True, it's nice to get out and see campus with a purpose in mind," she said. "I can't help but learn."

"How are your other classes going?" he asked conversationally.

"Good, I think? It's sometimes hard to tell with Captain Hammer," she supplied, knowing full well he was in that class, too.
