Third Floor Common Room [Tuesday night]

Sookie, so far, had had very good luck with not sharing her various secrets with the world.

Clearly that had to change.

Since she wasn't particularly concerned about the honesty issues, she was curled up on the couch in the common room, watching TV and writing a letter home. She wasn't paying much attention to either, but it seemed a pleasant enough way to spend an evening.

Ha. Oh, dramatic irony.

"Yeah," Zayne said. "You're the person who took my picture that one time. I don't remember your name, so I'm going to try to work around that until I remember. Except I guess I don't need to do that now. Sorry."

"It's Claire. I only remember Zayne because it's a really fucking cool name," Claire informed him. "Don't worry about it."

"Thanks," Zayne said with a smile. "I still feel bad because I really like to remember things about people I meet. My social skills help make up in some small part for when I screw things up. And that's probably more than you need to know about me right now. I don't know why I admitted that."

"I've been blurty all day today," Claire said. "Like, right now I think I'm going to tell you I usually act like I kind of hate everybody because it's easier than developing social skills and talking to them much."

"You called that really well," Zayne said. "If it helps, I haven't gotten the impression that you hate me. That probably means your social skills aren't as bad as you think they are."
