Third Floor Common Room [Tuesday night]

Sookie, so far, had had very good luck with not sharing her various secrets with the world.

Clearly that had to change.

Since she wasn't particularly concerned about the honesty issues, she was curled up on the couch in the common room, watching TV and writing a letter home. She wasn't paying much attention to either, but it seemed a pleasant enough way to spend an evening.

Ha. Oh, dramatic irony.

"Genetics from entirely different worlds and times and places," he said, not all that familiar with the theory as some people might be.

"But it's the same kind of chance that says that my world has horses and your world has horses. That there's horses on other worlds entirely unlike either of ours. An odd sort of chance, but chance all the same."

He flipped the omelet in the pan.

"Yeah, but does your world have a horse that's exactly the same shape and color as a horse on my world, down to the last detail?"

"Might," he said with a shrug, "I couldn't tell you. I don't study horses. I've met a few Horses after all, but that's a bit different."

Priestly still didn't hear the capital letter. "I haven't met any, actually. But still, 'you have horses, I have horses' doesn't equal 'your identical twin from another dimension'."

"No, but I don't have a better idea," he said with a smile before plating the omelet. He brought it over for Priestly.

Priestly brightened at the prospect of food -- and not talking. "Thanks!"
