Second Floor Common Room, Tuesday Afternoon

Ender didn't get out much, and for the most part, he preferred life that way.

But he could only spend so much time holed up with the droid and his work without Valentine's voice prodding at him; and while that was rarely enough to actually move him to do something-- listening to an imagined voice was a little silly-- he felt like humouring it today.

So Ender made himself some tea, and sat down. He even turned on the television, seeking out a documentary on extreme engineering that looked interesting.

He blamed Stark.

"Interesting choice," Triela commented after pausing for a moment to see what he was watching. "This is your idea of fun, huh?"s

"I suppose that makes sense," Triela decided.

She shrugged. "So how was your weekend after the dance was over?"

[identity profile] sorella-vecchia.livejournal.com 2009-02-17 06:47 pm (UTC)(link)
"Congratulations," Triela laughed. "I guess we both got lucky, huh?"

[identity profile] sorella-vecchia.livejournal.com 2009-02-17 06:51 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well, it's possible that we have experience with avoiding things we don't have time to deal with," she agreed. Triela didn't have any tea to sip, unfortunately.

"I don't know," Triela countered casually. "It's harder to watch people when you're dancing." And she had gotten quite a bit of people watching done.

"Sure," she said with the tone that said she didn't think it was worth trying either.

"Hi." Robin greeted Triela. "Have we met yet? It's hard to keep track."

[identity profile] sorella-vecchia.livejournal.com 2009-02-17 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
"I don't think so," Triela answered after only the slightest pause when she realized he was a frog. "I'm Triela."

[identity profile] robinthefrog.livejournal.com 2009-02-17 09:37 pm (UTC)(link)
"Pleased to meet you Triela, I'm Robin. Where are you from?"

[identity profile] sorella-vecchia.livejournal.com 2009-02-17 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)
"Rome. Italy." She eyed him curiously, "And you?"

[identity profile] robinthefrog.livejournal.com 2009-02-17 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
"The Florida Everglades." he said proudly. "Do you speak Italian?"

[identity profile] sorella-vecchia.livejournal.com 2009-02-17 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
She nodded in confirmation. "And German and French."

[identity profile] robinthefrog.livejournal.com 2009-02-17 11:08 pm (UTC)(link)
"I only speak English. Well, and frog and dog. Was it hard to learn English?"

[identity profile] sorella-vecchia.livejournal.com 2009-02-17 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)
"Not especially," Triela shook her head. "I'm a pretty good student."

[identity profile] robinthefrog.livejournal.com 2009-02-18 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
"How long have you been in America?"

[identity profile] robinthefrog.livejournal.com 2009-02-17 08:55 pm (UTC)(link)
"Hi Ender." Robin waved. He had a book entitled "Music Video Production For Dummies" tucked under one arm. "Whatcha watching?"

[identity profile] robinthefrog.livejournal.com 2009-02-17 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Robin liked anything with the word Extreme in the title. "Ooh!" He hopped onto the sofa. "What're they working on?"

[identity profile] robinthefrog.livejournal.com 2009-02-17 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
"Ooooohhh." Robin breathed in amazement. He watched along with Ender, not quite understanding everything, but it was still rather fascinating.
