The Roof [Monday, Evening]

Angela was avoiding her own room for obvious reasons, and common rooms for similar ones. She hated feeling like she was hiding.

Town seemed like a long way to go just not to see people, so she'd taken herself up to the roof, and was now sitting out there, wearing several layers against the cold, and staring out towards the lights of the mainland. It would make good inspiration for a painting one of these days.

If she'd been the type to smoke, she would have been. But since she wasn't, she was just sitting with a mug of hot chocolate, because it was really, really freezing out here.

Angela looked at her. "Sweetie, I'm sitting in the cold on a rooftop."

So, well, obviously.

Amber figured. "Sorry. Geeze. Too bad it just can't be 'What happens on a cruise stays on a cruise'. 'Cause that'd be perfect."

"Can we make that a rule?" Angela mused. "Because if that would catch on, I'd be really appreciative."

"... Actually, scratch that, because I wouldn't really care if it got mentioned, if I was just getting mocked for being dumb and drunk."

"But you were being dumb and drunk. Being drunk goes hand in hand with being drunk... and is Hannibal giving you crap for this?"

"Oh, no, he's fine," Angela grumbled sarcastically. "So fine with it, in fact, that we ended up fighting over it."

"Oh my god, he's jealous." Which is something, apparently, Amber would never ever think possible of Hannibal.

"If you think he'll ever admit to that..." Angela gave a short laugh.

"He needs to be smacked," she decided. "Hard."

"I hit him yesterday," Angela shared, swirling the liquid in the bottom of her mug. "It didn't seem to do much."

"Oh. Well then, tell all your friends and maybe if he's smacked enough, the light will find his brain."

Angela cracked a smile at that. "Well, you're free to try, obviously."

"Good. This could be fun." Stupid boys are stupid.

"Never saw you as the violent type," Angela remarked.

"Oh, I'm not. I couldn't hurt him if I tried. But a smack to the head isn't too hard to pull off. Hopefully make him squeak out an 'ow'."

Angela huffed out a little laugh. "Let me know how that goes," she said.

"I will," she said, hoping she had the guts to do it in the first place. She really liked Hannibal. It just wasn't nice that he was mean to Angela.
