After completing his go at Gun Club, Arthur returned to the dorms only to realise he didn't much feel like dealing with Leto yet. He'd come up with a proper revenge later. Right now, he craved a chance to sit somewhere, to fight off the sense that was dawning in the wake of yesterday's upset. He sat, and idly considered the Teevee.

Maybe she's just afraid to lose a friend, Merlin had said, and while Arthur was not going to stretch as far as to call her that aloud, he had to admit that the expression on her face had... seemed...

It was easier, dealing with sorcerers, when all you did was distract Father and find them quick shelter elsewhere. Here, there was little escape from them. No matter what he did, they would remain, and the honest truth was that he bore them very little ill will.

Wasn't his father. He'd seen too much damage caused by it not to be wary, but...

Of course, that made him think of Liir. He wasn't going to let thought of his conduct around him make him cringe.

So he sat. Subdued. Thinking.

"My king once told me that one can not help making mistakes," Dor said thoughtfully. "And sometimes you might be able to correct them all the time. The important thing he said was to make sure you learned from them."

"And what if you keep making the same sort of mistake?" Romeo asked, genuinely curious.

"Well when you're a king, the people tend to suffer from your mistakes," Dor replied. "So you usually try not to repeat them unless you want to deal with an uprising."

"So it's a good thing I'm never to be a king," Romeo decided.

"Well that depends on how your country selects one I suppose," Dor replied. "Can I ask what mistake you made?"

"We don't have one, which makes the chances of me being one next to nil," Romeo answered. "I married unwisely, on the cruise."

Dor's eyebrows shot up at that. "Oh, that would be a problem!" he agreed. "And a difficult one to fix!"

"We're getting an annulment, but it will still take a few days to put it to bed, and longer to regain trust."

"I'm guessing some people weren't too happy about it," Dor said sympathetically. "I'm sorry to hear that. It sounds like you're trying to make things right though. That should help."

Romeo snorted. "No. My girlfriend had a bit of a problem with it, and my closest friend told me it was cruel."

"You didn't marry your girlfriend?" Dor asked looking shocked. "Wow. Yeah. That would be a bit of a problem, all right."

"... it seems to be one," Romeo agreed. "I need to win her back before graduation."

"Sounds like a challenge," Dor replied. "Especially if she's not very forgiving. Is she forgiving at all?"

"Not so as that she's known for it," Romeo had to admit. "Yurika Dojima, if you know her."

Dor winced. "I haven't heard of her though that doesn't sound good. And your friend can't go to her because he also disagreed with what happened?"

Romeo frowned. "I lost track of what you were saying there, I'm afraid."

"You said your friend thought it was cruel," Dor said trying to rephrase. "So he can't act as a mediator?"

"No," Romeo said slowly. "I think we need to work it out between us, without bringing a third person in."

Dor frowned and nodded. "Good luck with that."
