Third Floor Common Room, Tuesday Afternoon
After completing his go at Gun Club, Arthur returned to the dorms only to realise he didn't much feel like dealing with Leto yet. He'd come up with a proper revenge later. Right now, he craved a chance to sit somewhere, to fight off the sense that was dawning in the wake of yesterday's upset. He sat, and idly considered the Teevee.
Maybe she's just afraid to lose a friend, Merlin had said, and while Arthur was not going to stretch as far as to call her that aloud, he had to admit that the expression on her face had... seemed...
It was easier, dealing with sorcerers, when all you did was distract Father and find them quick shelter elsewhere. Here, there was little escape from them. No matter what he did, they would remain, and the honest truth was that he bore them very little ill will.
Wasn't his father. He'd seen too much damage caused by it not to be wary, but...
Of course, that made him think of Liir. He wasn't going to let thought of his conduct around him make him cringe.
So he sat. Subdued. Thinking.

They were bothers in arms in that respect, no matter what Arthur thought.
"Brooding?" he asked in greeting.
no subject
He was an artist of brooding.
"Hannibal."

Letting it go was good strategy, however. "I'm glad to hear," he said, "that you've worked out my point."

Well, they had to talk sometime. "Hello, Hannibal."

When the furniture didn't start moaning like a moaning thing he let out a sigh of relief and headed for the refrigerator to see if there was anything good in there to eat.
"Hi!" he said giving a wave to the people in the common room. "I'm Dor."

"Afternoon," Arthur returned, with the politeness drilled into him by his father. It had been coming back to him with the fading shock, but he had to make an effort to manage it today. "I'm Prince Arthur of Camelot."

But he did, eventually, have to eat. He nodded an attempt at a polite greeting to those in the room (though with a little extra hesitation in it when he spotted Hannibal) and went to rifle through the cupboards.
no subject
It was his best attempt at a greeting. He was still preoccupied with entirely too much conflict to manage much better.

"Hello," she greeted the room, trying not to look too amused as Blind Seer headed immediately for the fridge and started nosing around.

At least it hadn't been 'wolf girl' this time. "Afternoon. You look well."

"Heyyyyyy, uh, Arthur." He flashed a slightly awkward grin, aiming for something almost friendly, in light of his conversation with Merlin. "How's it going?"
no subject
The attempted friendly got him a bit of a wary look, but no visible animosity. "Everything is going fine," he said. And then added, with well-disguised awkwardness, "Make yourself comfortable."
no subject
At least he wouldn't be bored.
"Thanks, man." He nodded to the TV. "You watching anything?"
