5th Floor Common Room, Tuesday Evening

There was some insanity going on in Fandom this week, and after John and Gavin had been assaulted by their visitor, they'd parted. And gotten a change of wardrobe.

After leaving her in...Gavin's dorm room, Johnny realized had to find Baby, he'd made a mistake leaving Kellerman's like that. He stormed into the...common room to find her sitting in the corner, watching the show.

In reality, there was no show. It was just Gavin in a really frilly dress staring at the television and looking disheartened.

Clad in tight black pants and popped-collar shirt, Johnny stormed over to where Baby sat, announcing to the world that, "Nobody puts Baby in the corner!" Then he offered her his hand.

Tomorrow would be painful.

[This is all [livejournal.com profile] sith_happened's fault. Minimal OCD coming for the dance ready!]

Baby just gave him an impish little grin, swirling that skirt a little more as she did a twist. It was the most horrible, most overbalanced twist in recorded history but, to Baby, it was perfect because it was just how Johnny taught her.

"Thank you," she said politely. Compliments had to be acknowledged, after all. He'd been so nice, come out and was clearly enjoying himself. Baby was determined to make sure all the audience left with a smile even if she had to dance with them all herself!

"What's your name?" Ben asked, for the benefit of the camera. His dad could use a laugh.

"Baby Houseman," she said, all demure and good manners. She fluttered her eyelashes at Ben but made sure to throw a look back at Johnny, the love in her eyes showing strongly.

She was a one woman man, after all. And her strong man was up there, dancing and making all the ladies swoon.

She was ever so lucky.

Ben choked, then made a couple of calls. There was no way Tahiri and Jaina should miss this.

"Did you wanna give it a try?" She wasn't the teacher, Johnny was but she was learning. And she wanted Ben to have a good time. She wanted him to always remember this summer and this dance and come back and see it again.

Ben's eyes bugged. "Um."

"You shy?" Baby asked, holding out her hand to Ben. "It's okay, dancing's real easy. I just learned. We can go slow."

Be afraid, Ben.

Oh, he was. He took a step back. "Won't your boyfriend get upset?"

"We're just going to dance," Baby said, looking amused that Ben could offer her anything that Johnny didn't. Ben was scrawny and small. Johnny was a giant Goliath of a man.

In all sense of the world.
momslilassassin: (Ben: Ben says "um wtf")

Ben should be so very grateful he couldn't read narrative. "I don't dance," Ben lied, taking another step back.

"Neither did I but we can just sway," Gavin offered, trying to seem sympathetic and open.

It was a scary thing coming from Gavin.

"Really, no," Ben said, taking another few steps back.
