5th Floor Common Room, Tuesday Evening

There was some insanity going on in Fandom this week, and after John and Gavin had been assaulted by their visitor, they'd parted. And gotten a change of wardrobe.

After leaving her in...Gavin's dorm room, Johnny realized had to find Baby, he'd made a mistake leaving Kellerman's like that. He stormed into the...common room to find her sitting in the corner, watching the show.

In reality, there was no show. It was just Gavin in a really frilly dress staring at the television and looking disheartened.

Clad in tight black pants and popped-collar shirt, Johnny stormed over to where Baby sat, announcing to the world that, "Nobody puts Baby in the corner!" Then he offered her his hand.

Tomorrow would be painful.

[This is all [livejournal.com profile] sith_happened's fault. Minimal OCD coming for the dance ready!]

Annja wasn't quite sure what to say to Gavin when he was dancing and... in a skirt. She had also seen quite a few catastrophes in her life, but nothing measured up in her mind to the train wreck that this was.

The hip sway just about killed her and she was surprised that he hadn't hurt himself.

"You're very good," she complimented him. She even managed to keep a straight face.

"I'm just a beginner but that's kind of you to say," she said, his normally deep voice sounding much more soft than usual. Ugh, he was going to hate himself. "I learned from my man over there."

Yes, her man. Step off, everyone else.

Annja had to swallow very hard so as not to choke to death on the laughter she was desperately suppressing. She looked over at John and then looked back at Gavin.

"Well then, you must be very talented if you're just a beginner. Because I know people who call themselves professionals who don't look half as good on the dance floor."

Oh, Annja. Did you not read the memo about not helping the gremlin bit to further humiliate themselves?

"Johnny's a great teacher," she enthused, smiling dreamily. "He didn't want to teach me but I was persistent and he couldn't say no to me."

She'd bugged him until his ears fell off.

"But I'm glad you liked it. I tried real hard even if my parents didn't approve!"

"Your parents don't approve of you dancing? That's just awful, someone as naturally talented as you are." Yes, she was still recording all of this. "They should be encouraging you in your artistic endeavors."

Much like Annja was encouraging Gavin.

"Yeah, tell them that." Baby was sure her dad would NEVER come around to dancing being anything more than something kids did when they were high or drunk. He was such a stick in the mud.

But she loved him. He was her father after all. She just wished...things could be different.

"Maybe my dance will change it!" Just to demonstrate her excitement, Baby grasped her dress in hand and twirled it back and forth, shaking his hips and banging his head. "I just have to dance. I just can't stop anymore!"
