The Deck, early evening Thursday

Dinah had hamburgers and hot dogs, some veggie platters and chips and dip, soft drinks and cake. Oh, and ice cream in the fridge inside for later.

Happy birthday, Will Shakespeare! Oh, and her too.

[very limited OCD ~~about to go~~ up!, for early justice and time zones; set before Dress Rehearsal/Previews.

Anyone welcome, even if you don't know her! I'm sticking to Dinah's thread to keep it simple.]

Dinah gulped. "Maybe? Just, don't make me laugh. I'm so wound up that I'll just lose it if anyone even smiles at me funny."

Amber giggled. Oh. Dinah shouldn't have told her that. "I'll, um, try my best not to make you laugh." Innocent look. Really.

"Amber, noooo," Dinah protested, already way too wound up. She snickered and covered her eyes. "I just won't look at you-- no, I have to, there's that whole speech," she corrected herself. "And then you get to do your big one, and ... oh, I'm so dead."

"Pfft, you are not," she snickered. "It will be fine, trust me. And I've decided against wearing a sock in my pants, so you should have no need to laugh." What? She was trying to help Dinah loosen up. Seriously.

...and okay, she was thinking about shoving a sock down her pants for the play.

"Oh my god, you would, wouldn't you? You're graduating, Geoffrey can't hunt you down and howl at you." Dinah started laughing in despair, then just laughing at the mental image. "Heeeeeeeeee..."

Amber rocked back on her heels and beamed. Yes. Yes she would. She was graduating. What harm would it do? "I bet I'd have the biggest... okay, I won't go there. But yay! I'm graduating. I can do anything!"

"You can! Oh, oh, but not tonight, please?" Dinah begged, then blinked. "If you did it on the last night, Geoffrey really couldn't kill you, you know."

Why was she encouraging this? Um. "Or not! 'Cause I'll still laugh!"

"You know, if you saw my sock penis tonight, it might help you get used to it and get all the nervous giggling out of your system." Nod nod. Amber felt she was pretty smart about these things. Not that she's ever worn a sock penis before. "I mean, I'm totally not using the rubber bouncy balls, so..."

Maybe she was just teasing. Maybe.

"If I give you extra cake, will not try to torture me?" Dinah asked hopefully. "And ice cream? Oh, and alcohol when we finally go out?"

She started giggling at the mention of the rubber bouncy balls, turning bright red at the image. Also, the dirtier implications. "Amber!"

"Hmm," she tapped her chin, pretending to think. "I might could be persuaded with cake and ice cream. Alcohol too. Okay, Dinah, I will make a point of trying not to torture you."

Snicker.

"What?" she blinked, looking cute and innocent.

"Nothing!" Dinah couldn't even explain the dirty there. Not without flailing a lot more. "And thaaaank you. Whew! We should have lots of time for going to bars next week in between performances, right?"

"Absolutely," she agreed, clearly amused by Dinah's blushing. "We'll do shots! Oooh, we can do body shots!" Amber's never done a body shot in her life but she's always wanted to try.

"Wait, are those the ones where you put the lime on your wrist and the salt on your elbow?" Dinah wondered. Then turned redder. "Or wait. You're talking Girls Gone Wild, aren't you?"

Amber stared at Dinah for a moment, thinking. She wasn't exactly sure... umm. Eventually she ended up nodding while cackling. "Yah, uh-huh, that's it!"

Dinah stared at her, then cracked up. "You liar, Amber Atkins! You totally meant the wrist thing!"

Okay, so she felt her cheeks go all red on her. "I totally meant that... the wrist thing and the Girls Gone Wild... well, yah! I mean, the wrist thing and all of it!" She laughed. "I've never really done a body shot before!"

"Then we gotta at least try the salt-and-lime thing. Margaritas!"

"Oooh, yah!" Amber agreed with a big head nod.
