The Deck, early evening Thursday

Dinah had hamburgers and hot dogs, some veggie platters and chips and dip, soft drinks and cake. Oh, and ice cream in the fridge inside for later.

Happy birthday, Will Shakespeare! Oh, and her too.

[very limited OCD ~~about to go~~ up!, for early justice and time zones; set before Dress Rehearsal/Previews.

Anyone welcome, even if you don't know her! I'm sticking to Dinah's thread to keep it simple.]

If you have something else you want to cook. Or just like to play with fire. Dinah's not going near it now that she has her cheeseburger.

For everything else. There's music coming in from the first floor rec room.

Sing happy birthday to her or introduce yourself if she has no idea who you are.

Although she'll probably guess who Emmett is. Because hi, TALL.

Arthur was here out of mild interest, and not because he was friends with the birthday girl - he wasn't - or because he was indulging a whim of Merlin's - honestly, he wasn't. That would be ridiculous.

He was here because it was a feast, because that involved paying one's respects and being gentlemanly, and because there was a great deal of food.

Of course, Arthur was also kind of a picky eater, so he spent some time by said food, looking for what seemed edible. Not drinkable, mind. Merlin could keep his cup filled.

As if Tahiri was missing this? There was food, and classes were done, and it was a friend's birthday; all of that added up to a must-attend event in her book.

"Dinah. I hear it's the day of your birth," Arthur greeted, his stance breathing seven ways of formal.

"Hey, Arthur. Yup! Seventeen today." Dinah noted the formal, blinking a little.

Jeez, some days Arthur made her wish she wore a uniform or something.

Lee grabbed a hamburger before he found a seat on the deck. He hadn't known Dinah long but he wasn't going to miss her party especially since it might be the last birthday party he went to while he was here.

It was that, or give in to his baser impulses and mock the hell out of her, and that didn't seem appropriate. So Princely it was. "Then I wish you many more," he offered, "And that your celebration goes well."

Wow, that was... polite! Oh my god! It really was her birthday! "Thanks! I'm glad you could make it." That was hostess-y enough. "Are you done with Exams yet? Or can you go off and party hard tonight?"

"I still have a 'final' in the morning," he said. Sure, this was miles off from the way they generally interacted, but he could be trusted to behave.

You know, when he felt the situation needed it. "But I think I'll live."

"Same here. Still, a lot of people have to be done already." Dinah grinned at the sarcasm and said, "So, not a life-threatening Final then? Just a mildly-likely-to-injure one?"

"I think the only one who has to fear any injury is Sir Minsc," Arthur said, lapsing for a moment there. "I'll slay the final yet."

Priestly loaded up a plate -- yeah, he'd just spent all day in a diner, what's your point? -- bopping around to the music in his head.

"Diiiiiiiiinaaaaaaah!" Priestly tried for a sneak-attack hug. While yelling.

He was slightly hyper.

"Happy birthday!"

"Eeeeee!" There was flailing, then laughing, then: "Priiiiiiiestlyyyyyy!"

She was always hyper. More so with cake! And hugs!

"Thank youuu!"

"Happy birthday, Dinah," Lee said, making his way over at some point. "Feel any older?"

[Leetle bit of SP coming, probably!]

"So. You gonna party down with your bad self? Or do you have to be good for your final tomorrow?"

Continuing on the theme from the diner, Priestly went to go try and take over the music in the rec room and get some blasting electric violin action going.

Dinah snickered, and said, "If he wants extra proof what a great lion you were, you can have my ex-boots to show him." She grinned, bouncing on her toes a little. "And then a week and change before there are new people to explain things to! I won't be the newest newbie on the Island any more!" That ought to scare him a little.

Well, hey, it wasn't like he could very well pass up a party and Dinah had gotten him through the television class final. He could stop by and eat some food and wish her a happy birthday.

Food and a party and finals being done? Bliiiiiiiiss.

[np at all!]

"Nooo. Well, yes," Dinah admitted, smiling brightly at him. "It's been the weirdest four months of my life. I think the zombies aged me a subjective two or three years there."

"I think I have to be good enough not to be hungover," Dinah said regretfully, then flailed a little. "And! Final dress rehearsal is tonight! So no drinking until after I've made a public idiot of myself!"
