The Deck, early evening Thursday

Dinah had hamburgers and hot dogs, some veggie platters and chips and dip, soft drinks and cake. Oh, and ice cream in the fridge inside for later.

Happy birthday, Will Shakespeare! Oh, and her too.

[very limited OCD about to go up!, for early justice and time zones; set before Dress Rehearsal/Previews.

Anyone welcome, even if you don't know her! I'm sticking to Dinah's thread to keep it simple.]

Éowyn had not yet mastered the personal computer - she was lucky she got the shower working most mornings, really, so it wasn't until she saw the group of students and asked around that she realized why everyone had gathered.

"Dinah!" she said brightly. "Happy birthday! And what a lovely day for it."

"Éowyn! Thanks, and yeah, it is kinda, isn't it?" Dinah smiled wide, still a little wired. "I lucked out, Ino had the idea back at Turtle's birthday party, and it seemed easy. I'm glad you came, did you get some cake?"

"Oh yes, it was quite good," Éowyn said. "Do you feel wiser with your extra year now?"

"Oh, totally," Dinah said, deadpan, then grinned. "I feel more knowledgable? And maybe more experienced? Wise would be pushing it, though."

"Perhaps the wisdom will come during the next year, and you will be wise for your next birthday," Éowyn said. "Did you do anything exciting today?"

"Nope, not really, slept in, and went shopping for food. And I've got dress rehearsal for the play in town tonight." Dinah eep'd a little at that. "Hoping it goes well. Not scary."

"I didn't know you were in a play. That sounds very exciting to me," Éowyn said.

"I've had so, so much fun, but if I do this again? I do not want a big part. Way too stressful," Dinah told her, sticking out her tongue. "It's Sunday and a couple nights next week, if you want to go see it. Some battles and treason and fights and politics!"
