The Deck, early evening Thursday

Dinah had hamburgers and hot dogs, some veggie platters and chips and dip, soft drinks and cake. Oh, and ice cream in the fridge inside for later.

Happy birthday, Will Shakespeare! Oh, and her too.

[very limited OCD ~~about to go~~ up!, for early justice and time zones; set before Dress Rehearsal/Previews.

"As far as I know," she said, with a bit of a bounce. "I mean, probably get called home for missions now and then? But so far so good on the sticking around for the most part. You?"

"Most of it, yeah. I may go back to Vancouver for a little bit, though," Tony said.

"Just for fun?" she asked. "Or for anything special?"

"I might get to work on Darkest Night some this summer, after I turn eighteen," Tony said. "Depends on if they find someone else before then."

"Oooh!" she said, impressed. "So, now I've got to hope they don't find anyone else! I'll totally wish bad luck on all other hopefuls."

Tony grinned. "Thanks. Actually, finding other people isn't the real issue. P.A.s are easy to hire, hard to keep. So you just have to wish bad luck on the really determined ones."

"Why're they hard to keep?" Ino asked interestedly. "Though, I mean, I'll totally wish them all bad luck anyway."

"You do all the crappy jobs no one else wants to do and you get paid next to nothing," Tony said. "It's a really good way to get into the business, but a lot of people think working in TV's going to be fun and easy and they don't want to deal with the reality of it."

She considered that. "If you really really love it though, you're going to stick around."

Now she was going to feel kinda bad about wishing luck on the really determined ones.

"Yeah." Tony was kinda feeling the same way. "How about we wish really good luck to the tough ones so that they get a job on a better show than Darkest Night?" he suggested.

"That... might work," she said, tugging on a bit of her hair. "I mean, I think it sounds better? Hopefully?"
