Second Floor Common Room, Wednesday Evening

For the Darkest Night finale episode, Tony handwavily picked up a couple of pizzas and several pints of ice cream. He filled up a plate for himself with a little of each. Mmm, pepperoni and chocolate. Wasn't too bad, actually.

Tonight's season finale episode featured a number of flashbacks from Raymond Dark's life. From the previews, it looked like most of them involved waterfalls, children in white clothing and butterflies. Very existential. Tony hoped they could fit some shirtless Lee in there somewhere. Maybe under the waterfall.

"What? No!" Tahiri made a few popcorn kernels bounce up off the floor at Dinah for that, partly to cover up for the fact that she was a brilliant shade of red. "I'm just . . . not into . . . looking at just anybody that way."

Dinah grinned, flailing out one arm along with a wave of TK. "I forgot. You have your own personal guy to touch. Or at least kiss. Other guys need not apply.

Tahiri groaned and buried her face in the carpet.

Ew.

She popped her head right back up again and stuck her tongue out at Dinah. "Exactly. I mean, I don't get drooling over just anybody."

This made her sound so lame, didn't it?

Dinah looked rueful. Because it so totally didn't. "You and Zack. He likes people more for their personalities too." And oh look. There's a suggestion of pink there.

"Cheerful bouncy guy from Terrain class, who was all happy about the glitter rain?" Tahiri remembered. "Dinaaaaaaaaaaaah . . ."

"Yessss?" Oh, there has to be another popcorn kernel left in the bag. Right?

No, but there was one flying at her now, if she wanted to use that.

"Does somebody have a crush?" Revenge wasn't very Jedi, generally speaking, but come on, after the teasing she'd had to endure?

"Maybe? I mean, Zack and Arthur sparred in the salle..."

Dinah ate the bite of popcorn, still pink, on the verge of giggling.

"Oh, really?" Tahiri was enjoying this way too much. Did the smirk give it away?

"It's nothing, he's a friend," Dinah said, fidgeting a little and smiling. "He's just nice. And cute. And he's going to get me Pixie Stix!"

Tahiri blinked. "I think I should have a bad feeling about this."

And there was a great disturbance in the Force.

"They're paper tubes of flavored sugar! I haven't had them for ages, you rip them open and pour them down your throat and then your teeth hurt, they're great," Dinah said with all the enthusiasm of an 8-year-old. "Zack heard about them and offered to get me some, wasn't that sweet?"

Like millions of Pixie Stix were suddenly torn open and then eaten.

"I think . . ." Yeah, bad feeling time. Never let Gabrielle get into those. Please. "Sweet is definitely the right word there."
