Karla was nervous. Well, that wasn't much of a surprise. Karla had been nervous all day. But this was a new and different kind of nervous. Now, she was about to host a party, which she had never done, in a world that was still foreign to her, and for many girls she did not know very well. It was enough to unsettle even the strongest nerves.

Still, she though she was ready. Dinah had promised to provide her laptop for movies. Karla and Gabrielle had gone to Turtle's and purchased lots of ~~moddable~~ snacks, sodas, and lots of candy and chocolates. She'd bought make-up, since Dinah had mentioned it's importance in such matters, plenty of blankets and pillows to share, and several other sundries because she wasn't entirely certain what else would be needed, and wished to be prepared. Also, lots of booze, from her private Kaeleeran stash.

Most importantly, there was a small, neatly lettered sign on the door that said 'No Males Please.'

Well, she was as ready as she was ever going to be. "Kiss kiss," she muttered.

Eleanor was eagerly petting her back, scratching behind her ears.

"That's a pretty name. Where are you from?" Of course she noticed the stutter, but it wouldn't be polite to mention it.

"Thank you--yours is as well. I'm from Konoha," she said, flushing slightly. "It's a village in a c-completely different world. Are you from this world then?"

That was the first time anyone had said her name was pretty, and it made her smile. "Not quite, I believe. I'm from England, but it is quite a bit in the past and my England has magic."

"Are you f-finding it hard to adjust to Fandom?" Hinata asked curiously. "Is it so very d-different?"

"It's been a challenge at some points, but overall I am enjoying the experience and can't complain too much." She smiled shyly, "It is very different. The majority of technology," she waved a hand at the room, "is new to me."

Electricity is new to her.

Her grin was a bit rueful. "Has someone b-been helping to explain it all to you?" Hinata asked. "Everytime you t-turn around there's something new isn't there?"

"In a way, yes. A young gentleman by the name of Jack has been telling me of some things, but, it seems even more confusing after he explains it." She grinned slyly, "I'm not entirely certain if it is him or me. But he is very kind for the attempt."
