Third floor common room, Saturday evening
The week before, Leto had been given a DVD by professor Mitchell, which was supposed to clarify certain questions Leto had had regarding British comedy. He hadn't had the opportunity to watch this until now. So this evening Leto was seated on the couch in front of the TV, watching Dark Serpent, the frown on his face increasing.
"Great Maker, are they insane?"
[Open, certainly]
"Great Maker, are they insane?"
[Open, certainly]

"I wasn't allowed television," she told him with a little grin, "so the only one I know is the one with the shirtless vampire."

"I wouldn't know what the difference is," she admitted. She wasn't really paying attention to it, "between British comedy and other comedy. My sense of humor's kind of weird."

"It's a very small perspective, I think, that lets you consider me normal."
Her hand reached up to run a finger along his jaw.
"Not enjoying it?"

But who knows, right?

"I know. But my idea of a good joke usually involves dead languages and bizarre medical conditions."

Oh.
Right.
'kay.
Not saying anything, she gave a quick smile to the room, eyes averted, and headed to the fridge. Water. Water. Where the heck were the bottles of water?

"Glad to see you got through all right. And got cleaned up." She scrunched up her face in mild distaste.
"I got to clean up a bunch of it earlier today. How about you?"
She glanced at the screen.
"Do you like this show?"

Don't look at Leto. Don't look at Tony. No reason to look at Arthur. Normal, normal, normal. Even if her face felt way too hot.

"Hello, Dinah," he said, giving a small smile.

"I don't know why, really. Maybe because I yelled at Alex?"
She had wished he would die of botulism rather loudly last evening. Perhaps they thought it was a threat or some sort of indication of something? Who knew? She didn't know how these things worked, after all.
"Then we had really awkward tea. Well, everyone else did. I was just awkward."
Headtilt.
"Is something the matter?"
no subject
Oh, who was she kidding. Nobody except Fiona. Not even her, really.
"Sorry you got Detention, and that you were awkward. I hear you can get it for no reason at all, too, so maybe you were just unlucky." A brief smile, nod at Leto. Still don't look at Tony. Nope. "I gotta go. On a run. You guys have fun, okay?"
Ohhhhkay, that sounded wrong now, time to leave.

"Take care, Dinah," which was said with perhaps a little more concern than a standard farewell. She was worried about her, even if she didn't know what it was that'd upset her.

She leaned up and pressed a kiss to his cheek.
"Tell me sometime?"
Not now, not in a week. When he wanted to. When he felt he could.
